I get being disappointed with Fallout 4, but worst game you played? I'm also looking forward to Blood & Wine (and the other one). I can't decide whether to pick up from where I left off or start a new game. Also, fingers crossed, Barkley 2.

Get working on that Witcher 3 badge...

Yeah, it was legit the worst game I played that was released this year. Keep in mind I don't play that many new releases.

I really just didn't like it, I found it to be very immediately stale and tired, as well as easily being the most unrecognisable Fallout game to date with it's disappointing emphasis on crafting like it's trying to cash in on the survival crafting game trend. In addition, it's shit technical performance and seeming lack of progress relating to it's engine do it absolutely no favours. To me it feels like a game that's trying to play catch up. I just absolutely couldn't get into it or enjoy it, to a degree that legitimately surprised me. I was cautiously optimistic about the game, then the gameplay leaked and I decided that it looked shit, but I figured I'd be able to enjoy the earlier parts of the game (such as just seeing the world for the first time) like I did with Skyrim before it's flaws cause me to loathe it. Fallout 4 basically fast tracked that process, but it wasn't a loathing; just a complete boredom and disinterest. I didn't even make it to the city for crying out loud...

Best Game: Bloodborne

Worst Game: Game of Thrones. I said Broken Age in the other thread, but I change my mind. I liked Broken Age until I realized it sucked, and I think its lowest low is lower than Game of Thrones', but I didn't mind the first act, all said. Thrones was just boring and grating.

Biggest Suprise: Tales from the Borderlands. I played it right after GoT and wasn't expecting much. It's very good.

Biggest Disappointment: Tough. The last quarter of MGS5 was disappointing but the rest blew my expectations. Fallout 4 is about as good as I expected. I guess Undertale, because people were raving about it and it's just fine. Kinda funny, kinda clever, but not groundbreaking stuff. But I'd still recommend it.

Most Anticipated: Dark Souls 3. I'm very interested to see what it's like. Dark Souls 2 wasn't directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and is the fart of the series, so forget it. But there were four years between Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and now there's only one between Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do in that time.
