Looks more like a daily reminder that r/gaming is terrible.

And I can only assume that's r/gaming, considering the amount of upvotes for a low effort gaming related picture.

I had the opposite issue, I don't care about all this pre-war shit and I just want to be let loose in the wasteland ASAP. 1 and NV were the best in this aspect, the Bethesda entries take too long to get going. I would've loathed a full hour.
I was reading through the thread and this reminded me of a few weeks ago when I tried to replay MGS5 and lost patience with the opening hospital sequence, which technically involves gameplay so you can't skip it. I wasn't waiting an hour to actually play the game. Irrelevant sidenote: MGS5 doesn't have the option to start a new game. You have to delete your old one. I've never seen that before.

Anyway, I started this again yesterday after abandoning it halfway last time. I tried survival mode for about ten minutes before downgrading to normal because the extra management doesn't seem like a good time. I've opted for being less adventurous than before and I'm laughing at the amount of early stuff I completely skipped, like the workshop tutorial and joining the Minutemen. Community building seems like a blast. I hope it leads to tangible benefits like extra items and abilities. I don't think I'll ever figure out how to build a house with properly wired lights and shit.
