Isn't that why you have companions? I use Valentine constantly to hack terminals because I don't want to invest the points/time

I like to use companions that do more damage (just got the mutant).

Considering how stupid the companions are, that doesn't happen much.

I traded off Dogmeat for Valentine last night. Apologies to the dog, but you just couldn't shoot straight. Why is it that you can't have multiple companions? In Fallout 3 I had Fawkes and Dogmeat as my companions.

Trying to move through the main story as much as possible before getting through the side quests. I've discovered 150+ places already so I feel I've done enough exploring for now.

I finished the game with all endings a few days ago (ended up right on level 50). Now I await the DLC.

Picked up the Idiot Savant perk at level 20 and within about an hour reached level 23. Not sure why I didn't pick this up earlier to be honest. When/If I do my second run through it'll be one of the first ones I get. Really surprised at how lop-sided the perk system is this time round. I usually wouldn't use Luck at all, but in fact you're kind of encouraged to go down that path.

I barely put any points on the luck side. I spread my points across all sides. I focused on improving health and radiation resistance (the game doesn't have many Rad Away plus it eats into your HP). I ended up having like 120 stimpaks when I finished (all were found, never bought any). I also increased the damage resistance for myself and my companions. Later on it allowed me to very aggressive and I ran straight into enemies head on and even use Melee weapons (which I find more effective against mutants, got Gorgon's Axe early on).

Interesting. I find that with Luck you can use things like the xp booster with Idiot Savant and the stranger perk to help out boost stats to then also buff out your health/rads. I've boosted my radiation and health quite a bit - especially because I misinterpreted what the Glowing Sea was (I thought it would be an actual sea, but... nope...) so when I headed there I just ran through the whole thing. Will have to boost myself up later on to be able to trek through there properly.

I did this with Piper from Diamond City.

The Joan Cornella face in the Pip Boy makes this video well worth it:

Your daily reminder about the gaming cancer known as Bethesdrones.

The fact that Bethesda are a company which it is popular opinion that "Oh yeah, pre-ordering is bad, but it's OK with them" just baffles me. They're the most overrated game developer I can think of.

I don't tend to preorder games, but I did with Fallout 4 just for the Pip-Boy which even though not perfect, I do really like.
