The more I read and see about this game, the more I'm convinced this would be the first Metal Gear Solid game I'd enjoy. I'll play through Ground Zeroes or whatever that one was called and see if I like that first of all.

But I'm kinda disappointed with the weapon arsenal, not that they dont diversify gameplay with the usual weapon types. It's just that I dont see myself using anything without a suppressor or even a weapon that is lethal.
Scratch this.

Just recruited the Legendary Gunsmith through a chain of Side-Ops. It enables the weapon customization system that allows you to mix and match guns that you've researched, adding all their components to a list. Can put a suppressor on any gun if the weapon type allows it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I was doing this Side Op and he got grenaded by an enemy and I can't redo the mission :(

Now knowing that he has a practical use makes me sad

Maybe the legendary bear can make weapons for you.

Took me a few tries to capture the bear. The Run to the bear was probably more annoying.

You treat the bear like a good old dodge the charging big guy and jump out of the way and use the tranq gun at its temples

I wasted three clips trying to down it and assumed you need a tranq gun with better penetration. I did aim for the head but I don't think I hit it much.

If you like Far Cry 3, then I cant see any reason why you wont enjoy MGSV. The core gameplay loop is significantly better with its engagement encounters than the Far Cry games, even if they share a similar rhythm sans the all the base stuff.

GZ doesnt really provide that, but it's a good showcase of the tension and strictness of its game mechanics and how missions are generally structured. But I dont think GZ does all that good of a job explaining much or the stealthy interactions you can do.

Doomguy I got my code from Gigabyte to register on nvidia. Still interested in the game?
I can take it off your hands now.
Fuck_Giver.exe has stopped working!
Does it matter how I write the truth?

There's no getting around how sleazy the depiction of Quiet is. Kojima's always had a thing for big-breasted babes but this is just shamefully sexist.

I thought it was more a case of writing her story to suit her outfit instead of the other way round. They could have easily given her a different costume and changed the reason. Pretty disappointing TBH

Yeah. They tried justifying it, which doesnt line up because the character in MGS3 with the same ability was a fully clothed old man.

t dont really like how she's a mentally broken mute as well, lacking little to no expression other than appearing beaten, then animating in a provocative way as she sits in the ACC. Being completely silent isnt exactly painting much of an interesting backstory or clouding her agenda in an interesting way as well. But I do like her gameplay mechanics as a buddy even though I feel she's overpowered. The general rift that's come out between Miller and Ocelot regarding her seems like an interesting development as well.

I dont have anything wrong with previous big breasted babes in MGS games. Eva was a strong female character in MG3. She played the KGB sleeper agent well and just came off as a Snake's very own Bond girl.

That's what surprised me about Quiet, because while past female characters have been dressed needlessly provocatively, they've been rounded characters given the same respect as male characters. Quiet is just boobs, and it doesn't do her any favours when

Spoiler: click to toggle

I agree that she's a great asset on the field. I did my first mission with her last night and she actually killed everyone in the outpost before I'd realized she'd done it. I do hope there's a drawback because she's definitely overpowered.

That doesn't bode well. I hated Far Cry 3 with a passion. Good FPS mechanics, but terrible characters and plot - both of which I'm fairly sure MGSV won't have.

It's like Far Cry 3 in the sense that there's an open world with enemy bases that you infiltrate wih a combination of action and stealth, with emphasis on stealth. There are also vehicles and gadgets and stuff.

Incidentally, I used a gift voucher yesterday to buy Far Cry 4. I wanted Tropical Freeze but it was sold out :(
