EA only liked Star Wars Battlefront and Mirrors Edge. Skipped through all the annual sport game releases. Unravel could be cool. NFS was just pathetic, something weird about the camera angle with drifting, doesnt look fun to play and cumbersome to control.

Dishonored 2, glad there's a sequel coming. First game was just great.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst looks cool. It being open world seems like the best natural step to take it, and also it looks a bit more varied than the first game visually which is welcome. I hope the combat is better than the first game, which was it's main problem. I do think this game is important because it's simply unique and really stands out amongst the sea of shooters, RPGs and sandbox games. What's with the obvious Morgan Freeman lookalike without the Morgan Freeman voice, though? I can't wait to hear it's soundtrack!

Dark Souls 3 confirmed for the ex-bone, the PoS Quadruple and PC, YAY! And it's being directed by the guy who directed the first one, YAY!

Mass Effect Andromeda, this took me by surprise, I thought any news of a new Mass Effect game would be further off for some reason. This trailer is cool, not only because of the direction but what it suggests; we may be seeing a return of exploration emphasis to Mass Effect. I enjoyed it in the first game for all it's flaws, it was sorely missing from 2 and 3. To possibly see it full realised in Andromeda would be amazing.

Rise Of the Tomb Raider. Since we now know that this is just a timed exclusive (though we don't know for how long), I can actually take interest in this game again. I enjoyed Tomb Raider, thought it was a very solid game. Never gave half a shit about the series before it. Basically thought of it as a segmented open world, less linear Uncharted with a hot female protagonist and basic crafting mechanics, that you don't need to own a playstation to play. This seems to be consistent with that, though I don't know about the open world part. Looks like they're also keeping to the theme of Lara getting hurt a lot. Cool.

Mother Russia Bleeds, never really been into beat em ups, but this looks very cool and I have a fair amount of faith in it coming from Devolver.

So apparently The Last Guardian is coming out next year for the PS4. I'll believe it when I see it.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand the hype for No Man's Sky? I still don't really understand what you're supposed to do in the game, and I really just don't find enormous amounts of randomly generated content to be very exciting.

It just looks like another of those building survival games that pop on steam Early Access. But with pretty visuals and press conference hype. I'm still interested, because of the emergent sandbox gameplay it's trying to pitch rather than another AAA cinematic game.

Horizon is the best thing Sony showed and probably deserves more attention than it got over the FF/Shenmue nostalgia going on right now.

Edit: The Last Guardian looks abit underwhelming

My biggest issue with Forza and most racing games is the same repetitive use of tracks. Good to see some new ones here but needs more. You can have 10000 cars for all I care, racing the same tracks over and over again becomes tedious.

Tracks

Track Name
Bernese Alps
Circuit de Catalunya
Circuit de Spa Francorchamps
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Circuit des 24 Heures Du Mans (Le Mans)
Long Beach
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit (Bathurst)
Nürburgring
Circuit de Prague
Road America
Road Atlanta
Sebring International Raceway
Silverstone
Test Track Airfield
Top Gear
Yas Marina Circuit
Brands Hatch
Watkins Glen
Rio de Janeiro
Daytona International Speedway

That was the best thing about Gran Turismo. As a sim, it did something cool by designing their own fictional tracks. Though, I havent played the last two Gran Turismo games, tracks like Grand Valley Speedway, Autumn Ring, Midfield Raceway and Green Forest had alot of variety in their elevation, corners and environment that real life tracks arent capable of.

I'm so sick of racing through Nurburgring, Silverstone, Monaco, Laguna Seca etc. That blind corkscrew in Laguna Seca isnt even that hard anymore, nor is Monaco's hairpin and so on.

Not a bad E3 overall this year. It's just a shame that so many things got announced before the damn show.

Bethesda and Ubisoft had good showings. EA's conference was surprisingly decent, especially compared to last year (which from memory was awful), but it still got bogged down with the sports overkill. Square Enix was meh. Just Cause 3 looks awesome and Hitman looks cool, that was all.

Microsoft was okay, Sony as well, though both (particularly Sony) were just too damn long. Nintendo was fine, though nothing particularly interesting this year.

Nothing was offensively bad this year, I just wish that maybe so many games hadn't been announced before hand. There were very few surprises otherwise.

Anyone else here thought that Tomb Raider looked underwhelming?

Horizon, Cuphead, Fallout 4 were the best on Stage presentations. Cuphead and Horizon could may suck for all I care, but those are good examples of how to show your game in a short timeframe. Dream looked cool. Anno 2203 has alot of possibilities that I hope it would tackle. And the more I hear and see No Man's Sky, the better it looks, it looks like Kerbal Space Program, Grow Home and Proteus put together.

Gears 4 and UC 4 looked safe, but good as usual.

Havent seen anything on the show floor other than the footage of XCOM2 that IGN has posted up.

Nintendo suuuucked. So mad about that Metroid.
