I know, right! It blew me away when there he was hiding in that barn. Really was the last person I was expecting to see.

Does anyone get some odd transitions during conversations? I've had the camera dissolve to a character once another is done talking, as well as loading screens in-between dialogue.

It's par for the course for a game this big to be stuffed with glitches, I guess. I had a cool one actually. I left a forest house and stretching before me was a massive canyon I couldn't believe I'd missed, but it was just a lake with the water taking forever to load. I also fell off a cliff while mounted and Roach vanished.

I'll probably continue to spam this thread with thoughts, and my current thought is that The Ladies of the Wood gets so fucked up at the end. Dear lord...

I'm gonna load an old save and help the tree. I was genuinely trying to do what right. That's another thing I like about this game: I'm so drawn into storytelling that I feel compelled to make moral decisions instead of cynically choosing whatever I think will be the most interesting choice.

If you think the botchling looks funny, wait until you meet Uma.
Hahahahaa. That caught me so off guard. I was freaked out.

I notice something similar on the PC version. Occasionally, Geralt's beard will fade in a second or two after the camera jumps to him in a conversation.

I saved the tree first as I hadn't realised it was an evil spirit. Geralt seemed to know, it was just me that didn't. I reloaded as I wanted to make decisions as my Geralt would. Then... that ending... fucking bitch withces!

I ended up traveling to every question mark in White Orchard. I wouldn't normally do that in these games, but it seems like there's something unique about most of them that it's fun to check them out.
They become a little more mundane as the game goes on. There are so many in the main areas that the uniqueness displayed in White Orchard partially dissapears in lieu of a shitload of stuff to do. I did about 3/4 of them then just gave up as it was becoming a tick box rather than enjoyable side diversion.

I haven't had any pop in or weird loading issues like that, but I'm running the game on a SSD which is bound to be a lot faster than what I'm assuming is a disc and 2.5" HDD combo the PS4 uses to stream. I did have a fair bit of Geralt's beard pop in but that seems to be remedied by turning up the background characters setting, which I initially left on low.

I killed the tree, which I believe may have affected the epilogue for the shitty ending that I got, but I'm not too sure. No idea how relevant it will be to the good ending I'm working on.

Yeah I'm starting to notice a few too many "Guarded Treasure" and "Bandit Camp" ones. I might just explore the ones I come across and check any intriguing points on the map.

If you save the tree you open the option for a carnal encounter with the crones.

One annoying thing about replaying the game is that I can't remember if I've done certain things or not. For example; this time around - when gathering allies - Dijkstra told me to go fuck myself. I was sure I'd helped him resolve his problem but, I suppose, I mustn't have this time around. Damn!
