I don't take it as arrogance, I've found through all the Souls games that everyone has trouble in different areas. For me the beast-like enemies were the hardest (Cleric Beast and Vicar Amelia) whereas the hunters were the easiest and most rewarding. I enjoyed the challenge of going toe-to-toe with an enemy that goes by the same rules you do (let's just forget that shotgun-spamming cunt in the Cathedral Ward). That's probably why I like DS2 as much as I do, it has the best multiplayer of the series.

I also hated the blood vial system. It worked best in Dark Souls, no need to adapt it.

I thought getting a feel for a boss was quite easy, but whereas you were defensive in previous games you had to be evasive here. I felt the dodging was a huge step up too, being quick where it was clunky in Dark Souls.

That sucks that you missed the final 2 bosses. It's too easy to be duped. I almost picked the bad option. Micolash and Wet Nurse are easy but the final 2 are hard. The only bosses I beat first try were Shadow of Yharnham and Celestial Emissary, though I got Micolash and Witch of Hemwick on the second. Gascoigne is my favourite too, while One Reborn is the dud.

Yharnam's the most realized world, but I prefer the melancholic tone of Dark Souls to Bloodborne's gothic/cosmic horror. The latter is excellent, but there was a human aspect to Lordran's ruins that got to me. The fights with Gwyn and Sif are pretty depressing if you understand what's going on.

The gameplay is definitely best. I tried playing Dark Souls again straight after Bloodborne and couldn't adjust comfortably to the slower combat. Perhaps I could adjust easier now that I haven't touched BB in a while, but the flow of things in the latter is what I'd prefer in future games.

Yeah I prefer the more strategic feel of Dark Souls I think. Plus the frenzy mechanic was fucking bullshit and didn't reward player skill at all, it was just something you 100% had to stock up on items for. Luckily it wasn't too frequent.

I honestly really dislike the invasion system and I would choose to play offline, but I enjoy leaving my summon sign for others.
One of my best PVP moments was getting backstabbed by someone who was about 20m away :p

I wouldn't mind Frenzy if it didn't keep increasing once you kill the enemy causing it.

P.U.M.P.E.D.

I'm going to start a new character for the DLC because I barely remember how to play. I booted up a NG+ character just to see if the DLC was there and forgot most of the buttons.

I really need to get around to Dark Souls 2's DLC someday.
