It says that there is a 0.3% chance of getting 1000 HP, so that was pretty lucky. For yesterday's taco tokens, I didn't get any coins, but did get covers for The Hood and Doctor Octopus. Unfortunately it was a yellow Hood cover, which I already had 5 of. I didn't have the Doctor Octopus one though. I had been saving that roster slot for Ragnarok from the current event though, so I guess I'll see whether I earn enough HP. I also managed to snag a Professor X cover from the last event, but he doesn't look that useful with only a single purple cover. |

The Yellow cover for Hood is the new daily which I picked up. It also gives me 5 for it. Got a red cover for Human Torch from the Taco Token. |

There is a red Thor cover in today's Deadpool quest, which looks like one Nintendo Man could use. It also looks like they're wrapping around, with Magneto and Black Panther in the new group of five (hopefully offering their second covers). I guess that means they're skipping over Iron Fist this time. |

I got it as well as the Red Captain Marvel cover today. Would be nice if they start offering 4 star covers as well. Would be great to get Black Panther to a high level and use Rage of the Panther. |

It looks like the Deadpool Quests have rotated to doing second covers now. And they started with the first two featured characters, so they might be sticking to the same order as before. I'm also glad I got a 3* Daken from a token recently, since the current Gauntlet event has him as one of the progression rewards but you can only progress that far if you already have Daken to complete some essential nodes (which seems a bit cheeky). I'm probably going to hit a wall in this event soon: I managed to beat the 4th battle in the third section (Storm, Iron Fist and Doctor Doom), but it came down to chance. It'd be nice to get an extra Squirrel Girl cover, but I don't like my chances. |

Given the changes to Magneto, I decided to try a different team for the big mission in the Deadpool quest. I'd seen suggestions to try Black Widow, Storm and Thor (all 2*), and wasn't disappointed. It takes a bit of time to get started, but by the final round (against 4* Thor, Black Panther and Sentry) I managed to take them all down without giving them a chance to attack. In total, I think I'd lost about 100 health. The main requirements are to have 5 covers in Storm's green and 5 covers in Thor's yellow. The aim is to build up as much green AP as quickly as possible. Thor's red and yellow powers can help this, and Black Widow can also steal enemy AP. You can use Black Widow's blue power to hold back enemy count down tiles during this phase. When you're getting close to 30 green AP, cast Storm's green which shatters one tile for each green AP you have, dealing damage and gaining AP for each (so you get a lot more AP back than you put in). Depending on what's on the board, you will most likely have regained some of the 12 green AP you spent on the power, so now try to build it up high again and repeat. When you get to round 2, you'll probably have enough AP to cast Storm's blue power twice and stun two enemies and possibly kill some of them. Just keep on building up green then use Storm to convert it to other colours and soon the match is over. |

I use my 3 star Thor with 2 star Storm. I just use 2 call the storm (4196+2098+2098 damage each time) and that wipes out the 2nd and 4th wave enemies so I don't get any damage. The 1st and 3rd wave I just build up AP while trying not to take too much damage. I also ensure I use a move to knock out the last enemy in the 1st and 3rd wave so the heroes don't get a chance to hit me. I only use Storm for the spinning tornado, use the yellow power of Thor (which does 2308 damage and creates green AP). To combat the annoying bots which spam things on the board I use Falcon's Bird Strike to put defence tiles (which strengthen with each yellow match) and his passive move which gets rid of one of the enemy attack/defence tiles each 4 turns. |

My 3* Thor isn't nearly that powerful yet (he's at level 89, and only three green covers). Storm's green is nowhere near as powerful (it usually does less than 1000 damage), but when you're effectively matching away half the board and getting back 2.5 AP for each AP spent if you wait until you have 30 green. That's more than enough to power the rest of the moves in your arsenal (some of which will help you get back to 30 green). For the Gauntlet, I might have finally hit the wall at Simulation 39 (level 185 Magneto, Cyclops, and 4* Wolverine). I can probably do it by spending Deadpool points to drop whales on them, but I'm not sure it's worth it. I managed to get the Squirrel Girl cover reward, but most likely won't be able to get the Blade one. For a while I was stuck on Simulation 37, which was against Deadpool, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. When you've got Iron Fist recreating an attack tile every turn that deals ~ 600 damage, and Luke Cage doing the same with a protect tile that negates ~ 300 damage, it's slow going. |

I don't bother with the gauntlet events anymore, takes too much time for the rewards you get. |

Hey guys, Finally got directed over here, and thought I'd say hi. Thanks for letting me join your Alliance on the game. I was wondering though if I could get some tips. I (think so anyway) have some decent covers, but feel like I am hitting a wall now on what I can do. For instance when I first started I got the Blade Day walker and Rocket and Groot covers but have yet to find any additional covers for them so they are basically sponges with no powers. I feel like I am either doing something wrong, or have terrible luck. I could have done at least 3 full Iron Mans by now if I kept every Iron Man cover I've gotten, same with Storm. So just wanted to say Hi and hopefully get some advice on what to do next. |

Looking at your roster (you can check other people's from the alliance screen), you are probably best off trying to develop some of your 2* characters at this point. You will see a lot more 2* covers than 3* covers, and of course there are even lower odds for a particular cover to come up in a token. You're going to see hundreds of 1* covers as you go through, and eventually just see them as a 100 Iso reward. The main ways you'll get 3* covers are: 1. the "SHIELD resupply crate" will give you a cover about once every 15 days. These cover rewards are fixed, and there is a list of them here: http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3642 2. play the story events. These are scaled to the strength of your roster, so you actually will see lower levelled enemies than people with higher level rosters. Usually if you get in the top 150 out of your group of 1000 (i.e. top 15%), you'll get a cover. Place better, and you'll get more covers. The final points progression reward for these story events is usually a 3* cover too. 3. play Deadpool's Daily Quest. Each day there is a different 3* cover available. The caveat is that you'll need to be able to beat a 4 round survival match where the final round i at ~ level 130, and already have a cover for that character (the survival match is locked until you beat a match that has the character in question as essential). 4. Get lucky in a versus tournament. You need to get in the top 100 (out of your group of 500 players) to win a cover though, which I think I've only done once. One high risk strategy that might work is to join the event maybe 10-15 minutes before it ends. If you are lucky, you'll be added to the last bracket and have less than the full 500 players. If there is 100 or less players, then everyone will get a cover. You're likely to miss out on the other rewards though (e.g. a 2* cover for reaching 200 points), and if there are more than 100 players, you'll have less chance of winning. So I would suggest trying to develop the 2* characters on your roster to the point where they can beat the DDQ survival match. I play that match with maxed out 2* characters, so this is achievable (probably even without maxed characters). The team I use is: Black Widow with 3 purple, 5 blue, and 5 black covers. You want 5 blue so that move will heal your team even if there are countdowns on the board. Having 5 black is probably more useful than 5 purple, since it adds extra match damage for black/purple/blue matches provided Black Widow is the strongest in those colours, while the purple power gets more expensive with more colours (so you end up using it less frequently). Thor with 3 red, 5 yellow, and 5 green covers. With 5 in yellow, his attack will generate 9 green tiles, which is great to feed green powers. And his green power is one of the strongest powers in the 2* roster. Storm with 5 green, 5 blue, and 3 yellow. With 5 green, Storm shatters as many tiles as you have green AP. And since you get AP for each shattered tile, if you wait until you hit 30 green AP to use the power, you're getting 30 AP in assorted colours in exchange for spending 12 AP. Her blue is also a powerful team damage attack that will also stun one enemy. While I've won matches when her yellow kicks in, I don't think it is worth sacrificing the other powers for. The strategy was then to build up green as fast as I could using Thor's red and yellow powers and Black Widow's purple, and then fire Storm's green power whenever I had 25-30 green. While in this early phase, also use Black Widow's blue to heal and push out countdown tiles. When you've built up enough green AP, cut back on Black Widow's blue power, since Storm's green has a good chance of clearing the count down tiles for you (you'll be shattering almost half the board). Use the first round to build up AP, and try to make sure you use a power to beat the final goon, so it'll be your turn at the start of round 2. At this point, hopefully you'll have enough blue to cast Storm's blue twice to stun two of the enemies. Other than that, keep playing it like round 1, building up green AP and then using Storm to generate AP in the other colours. Round 3 is goons again so play it like round 1, building up AP to beat round 4. Depending on my luck, I've occasionally completed the match without any enemies casting a power. I usually complete it with most of my health too, so the strategy shouldn't require level 94 characters (you'd probably still want them higher than ~ 70 though). It'll take longer and have a bit more risk, but should still work. Now you'll probably want to build up a few more 2* characters as you go. Daken is pretty useful, since he can heal himself (if he comes out of a match with low health, I sometimes just play one of the easy story missions with him to let him recover). His strike tiles also work well with Black Widow's espionage, since they activate twice (i.e. strike damage on the match, and strike damage on espionage's extra damage). I don't have Ares in my roster but I dislike playing against him, so he is probably also worth experimenting with. |

<insert mind blown gif here> lol So, got through my first second level of Deadpool's Daily mission and got a Moonstone cover. Nothing earth shattering but I'll take it. I have 3 covers sitting in my "recruit" area that I need to decide what to do with. I have a Loki, a Spiderman with a bag on his head (what the hell is that lol), and I have a Kamala Khan. I have 275 HP so hoping to get some more here soon as a reward or something. Some of those tournaments are ridiculous. My highest level character is a 50 Iron Man and I click the little icon and see like level 94's across the board and am like... yeah... no. Seems like I really need to think more about the teams I put together going into higher level battles, and try to match those who compliment each other instead of just the highest level etc. Between this and Puzzle and Dragon my tablet is getting a workout. :-) |

It probably isn't worth recruiting Bag-man. He's the only 2* character that you won't get from tokens (on the "Recruit Heroes" page, there is a small "?" icon you can click to find the probabilities for each drop), so it would be slow to level him up. I think this was done because no one likes him. I've only played with Kamala Kahn a bit, but she seems like a fun character. But without the green power, she's only going to be useful as a support character (yellow heals and purple generates green AP). Loki is also a decent character despite not having any damage abilities. He can neutralise enemy protect and strike tiles, shuffle the board, and punish the enemy for making match-4s or match-5s (he creates some countdown tiles that will steal AP). There is also a node in the current event that requires you have Loki to play. As far as making space in your roster, here are some suggestions: 1. You can probably do away with some of your 1* characters. You're probably still using them regularly at this point, so pick a team of three that work well together (e.g. cover all 6 colours) and sell the rest. When your 2* characters eclipse them in power, you can trim it down even further. When I was at this stage, I used Iron Man, Storm and Black Widow as my main team. Juggernaut It's worth keeping one 1* character around though so you can play the first mission of Deadpool's Daily Quest, which will give you 500 Iso/day. And later when you can complete all 5 missions of DDQ, it'll be worth an extra 2000 Iso/day on top of that. I keep a level 20 Juggernaut around for this purpose. 2. Consider selling Bullseye. While his black has the potential to do a lot of damage, it's high AP cost and situational nature (4 critical tiles on the board) mean you'll hardly ever see the payoff. His protect tiles can be useful, but this game really favours offence over defence: the longer you stretch out a match, the more powers your opponent will be able to use. As far as the versus tournaments go, getting stuck with a wall of opponents you can't beat seems to be part of the game. In the current one, I've hit a wall of level 166 characters I've got no chance of beating and still outside of the top 100, so I have to content myself with the progression rewards. That's why I suggested looking at DDQ and the story events. |

Ok, so now I have: Doctor Doom, Loki and Kamala Khan in my Rewards section. Oddly enough, the cover for Kamala is her green power, Loki is green and Doctor Doom is Black. I ditched the Bag Spider Man. I'm doing pretty good in the Prodigal Sun events too right now too. The Wakanda one I am currently ranked 27, Los Angeles ranked 108 and Overall ranked 39. So I should get something decent (hopefully) out of all that. The Dead Pool stuff is helping already. Gotten a couple covers from hat. Although got my ass handed to me in yesterdays DD. Those fricken ninjas kicked my ass. I feel like I'm getting a better understanding of team composition going into matches. I just wish I had characters with more powers. But,that's part of playing the game. I get jealous when I look at your roster. lol |

I managed to get a Kingpin cover from finishing 20th in the last event, ironically the token I got from the event I got another cover for him. Up to day 361, day 365, 366 and 367 are Devil Dinosaur covers (1 of each). |
