I managed to get my Ant Man cover, but it felt a fair bit more difficult than last time Growth Industry ran. I suspect my 5* characters skewed the enemy levels. For reference, apart from two level 255 5* characters, most of my roster is level 140. My enemy levels were:

Small Business: 155
Mustard Seed of Destruction: 159
Inner Space Cadet: 139-159
Okay, Yeah, They're Dolls: 209
Big Things One Day Come: 188-189

I wiped a couple of times on the first three missions before completing them. I got the final one done on my first attempt but almost wiped there: I got hit by caltrops a few times in the first round bringing two characters down to ~ 600 health and the other at ~ 1000 health. Somehow I managed to still make it through through to the end. This was using Captain America, The Hood (both level 140), and the loaner Ant-Man (level 70, but fully covered).

Are attack tiles broken for anyone else? For the past 2-3 days when I have them on the board it shows the dame they do, and that damage goes to the upper right like normal but it's not taking any damage off the enemy for me.

It appears this is the same for when the CP uses them as well. Odd.

This seems to be a display bug in the latest update. The tiles still seem to be doing the damage, but it gets applied before the animation rather than after.

Okay, so my mission levels are 20-40 levels higher than yours, while your strongest characters are 26 levels higher than my non-5* characters. I know the scaling issues would probably correct themselves if I sold the characters, but that seems like a pretty poor solution given how rare the covers are.

It is too bad you can not give covers to others (I would never sell any 4 or 5 star covers). I also have Nick Fury at level 188.

Though you technically got 2 characters which are far higher in levels than the enemies. Go figure I had the most problem on the 3rd one, lol.

It probably means you should start pushing your 3 stars to level 166 and hope the scale doesn't go much higher.

Back when I had stopped levelling my characters at 94, I had built up over a million iso. I spent almost all of that in bringing everyone up to level 140. Looking at the upgrade prices, to move all 40 characters from 140 to 145 would cost 432,120 iso, which will take me a while to acquire.

I imagine as I close the gap, the over-scaling should reduce. But given how slow that's going to be, I hope the developers do something about it before then.

Got a Green 4 star Wolverine cover from a Heroic token.

My first Elektra cover from the daily resupply in a couple of days.

This is a bit disappointing: I'm getting to the end of the first new story content added to the game in almost a year, and I can't finish the final node to see how it ends. I haven't made it past the second of three rounds in the match. It says the node's levels are 190-198, which I guess I can thank my 5* covers for: it basically means any of my non-boosted 3* covers are ruled out.

Given it took them so long to add this content, I'm a bit underwhelmed.

I got the new Hulk cover. That 3 Hulk wave was annoying, level 345-347.

I used Thor, Luke Cage and Daredevil. I tried to keep stunning them Daredevil while Luke Cage shield tile made me take very little damage. Plus when She Hulk steals the shield tile, I just countered it with Daredevil and damage her. For the last Hulk I stunned him and then unleashed with Luke Cage and Thor.

I got my Totally Awesome Hulk last night. The survival battle against 3 hulks was all level 395 for me. I used Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Hood as my team, which meant I could stun using both blue and purple AP (SW stunning a random opponent doesn't matter when there is one opponent). Once I got the first hulk stunned, I managed to maintain a stun lock for the rest of the match.

I did notice a bug with Red Hulk's anger move: I finished off She-Hulk with a red shield throw, and Red Hulk put up a timer straight away, even though he hadn't been damaged. Since I was keeping him stunned though, it never managed to do its damage.

I used up most of my health packs trying to beat the final Galactus battle (level 165), but got it in the end.

I beat him on my 3rd attempt, used my usual Deceptive power and Sniper Rifle (which helped clear the board).

Well that sucks. Got the 10 pack for this current season. Excited to see what I got... 9 2* and 1 3* Cyclops black cover. As an adult I should not feel this level of disappointment from a mobile game but damn that sucked. :-(

That is why I only play PvE events since I don't need 3 star covers for most of the characters. My focus now is on 4 star characters, get enough command points in a few days for another Legendary Token, then my next Elektra cover 4 days after that.

I haven't been playing anywhere near as much as I used to. The reward:effort ratio just doesn't seem to be there for me any more.

1. I used to look forward to pulling 3* characters, but now that I've got the majority of them fully covered, most 3* covers I get now are duplicates so get sold. Getting 4* covers is a lot slower, and it seems they recently increased the progression scores to make getting a legendary token from story events even more difficult.

2. Lucking into a few 5* covers has been a mixed blessing: while it is nice to have such rare covers, it has screwed up the scaling. The base levels for opponents in PvE has increased significantly, and in PvP I needed to skip lots of matches in order to find someone with a similar level to my characters. It seems like such an obvious balance bug that they had 5* characters start at level 255.

On the subject of disappointing token pulls, there was this announcement in the news section of the help:

http://d3publisher.helpshift.com/a/marvel-puzzle-quest/?s=news-updated-12-11-15&f=important-announcement-legendary-tokens-exploit-dec-11-2015

It sounds like there is an exploit in the game which could be used to open a token a second time if you didn't like the result the first time. Apparently it has existed for a long time, but they're only doing something about it due to legendary tokens: you'd only need to repeat the exploit 10 times on average to convert every legendary token you acquired into a 5* cover.
