I got a purple Dino too and almost sold him by accident. I would have been pissed.

I'm doing pretty well in the PvP tournament and am hoping to get that 10 pack too. I think it's going to be tight, but here's hoping.

I got two free anniversary tokens when I played today, and one of them had a purple Devil Dino inside. I guess it is purple DDs for everyone.

I got another one, lol (1/1/3 for him).

Recruited Professor X with a Simulator token.

That is four, 4 star covers in 2 days. Would be great if this was a regular thing.

It looks like Devil Dino will be the next 4* Deadpool Daily Quest match up judging by the vault contents. I wonder who his opponent will be, and whether they'll make any allowances for the fact that there has been hardly any opportunities for people to get covers for him?

I've also managed to earn two 3* Bullseye covers during the anniversary season: one for placing top 100 in the Black Mirror tournament, and one for momentarily hitting 800 points in the Class of 2015 tournament (I ended up being knocked back down to 649). I should give him another shot now that he has a more useful amount of covers. The black Black Panther cover in the placement rewards for Simulator will also be quite useful.

2/1/3 for Devil Dinosaur now with a green cover I just got. Elektra is the next 4 star battle.

Have any luck against Squirrel Girl? Even with a lot of boosts, my 1/1/2 DD hasn't had much luck. The two chomp moves don't do much damage, and dance only moves two tiles.

The new run of Galactus has started. It looks like 20% of the battles are locked out behind 4* Cyclops, which is a shame, and the game crashes when I try to play the Black Panther node. But apparently it is going to be easier this time around.

Beat her with just 686 HP health left. She was at Level 222 for me. That must mean that if your 3 star character is maxed, they will be at level 270. Otherwise your opponent will be weaker. If that is the case, I will hold off leveling my other 3 stars. I got another Iron man blue cover from the token.

I got the 10 Pack for the Anniversary PvP.

Actually really happy with what I got.

Nick Fury
Devil Dino
Sam Wilson Captain America

and a bunch of 2*

But, those three more than made up for anything. Now I'll go back after the Galactus stuff.

That was good luck. My 10 pack gave me 3500 Iso, three 3* covers I didn't need and some 2* covers. I have received better rewards from some of the other anniversary/Galactus tokens. I got a yellow Nick Fury (my second cover for that character) and another purple Devil Dino.

We're up to round 3 for this run of Galactus. He doesn't seem nearly as crazy now: less cosmic tiles, but the countdown tiles do more damage. That could make Hulk a reasonable choice: you'd be able to build up a lot of green from his Anger ability.

Well, that was lucky. I pulled a 5* Old Man Logan Wolverine cover from the legendary token I got from Deadpool vs. MPQ. It's his yellow cover, so I've got access to his healing but nothing else (can't access his other yellow ability without a black cover).

At level 255, he is twice the level of my next highest character, so I wonder what it'll do to my scaling.

Some people have been complaining that it scaled the enemies too high in your situation.

The console games came out last week, $20 plus 2 DLC at $5.35 each (Xbox 360 prices). So Day 1 DLC, they expect us to pay $5 for each 2 characters they add. I think I will stick to this game.

I added him to my roster before starting the latest story event, and haven't noticed much difference yet. I haven't actually used him though: with a single yellow cover, he has no offence other than match damage (which at level 255 is pretty high). He'd basically just be 10k of health sitting in front of whoever will actually be doing the damage. In most cases, I think I'd prefer to bring out someone else who can help win the fight quickly rather than drag it out longer.

While it doesn't seem to have affected the levels of enemies I see in the single player events, having the 5* character there seems to have pushed up the levels of enemies I see in versus events. I'm seeing lots of max level 3* teams or boosted max level 3*s, and having to skip through a lot to find enemies closer to my own level.

And after collecting four Wolverines in the game (six if you count the two Dakens as Wolverine variants), the next character release is ... Wolverine:

Not sure if there is a definite answer to this question or not, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Is there a certain level cutoffs to where it scales the enemies for sure?

Reason I ask is is I've arbitrarily stopped leveling up my 3* characters at Level 127. No idea why I stopped there to be honest.

I don't think there are any actual cut-offs. For story events, they seem to pick a base scaling factor when you enter the event. That scaling factor seems to be based on your past performance (which in turn will be affected by your character levels). During the event, the levels will go up and down based on how well you do on the node (finish without damage, and the levels go up. Lost or take lots of damage and levels go down).

For versus tournaments, the average levels of your top N characters (not sure of the number) is used to pick other players with a similar roster strength to match you against (which is a pain if you suddenly get a level 255 character and have nothing else close to that). You'll only start to see other players when you get enough points for the game to not be able to find similar level matches. Similarly, you'll become visible to everyone else at this point, so playing with higher level characters will reduce the number of people who attack you.

So I'm not sure what the best strategy is. It helps to have a deep roster in this game for cases where your favourite characters are locked out (e.g. "heroic" events, matches where your favourite is in the opposition, events where a character is blocked for story reasons, etc). The rotating weekly character buffs also mean that the "best" characters one week won't necessarily be as competitive the next week.

I recently spent almost all of my Iso stockpile to level up my 3* roster to 140 (except for Iron Fist, Scarlet Witch and Dr Octopus, who I don't have enough covers for). This was probably overkill, since I rarely use some of the characters (e.g. Sentry, Ragnarok, etc). But it does mean that if I need to use them because they're essential or the best choice out of the boosted characters, I have them in a usable state. I guess I'll see how it affects my game over the next week or so.
