Nothing wrong with relying on those characters. They both have great green powers. If you want a partner that gives you coverage of all six colours, then either choice in the two star range are worth a try:

Daken: he can heal every turn (provided there is enough blue on the board), drops strike tiles on green matches and has a powerful blue move that consumes those tiles. He doesn't have active abilities on black or purple though, so it wouldn't hurt to find a third character who can use them.

Black Widow: great for stealing the enemy's AP, and her blue power can delay countdowns and heal you (if you have all 5 covers: less than that, and it will only do one of those). Her black is passive, so again it helps to find someone who can use that colour.

Last week I was having a lot of fun with Human Torch when the 2* version was buffed. He might also be a decent partner, since he can use the black AP the above two can't. His red is also significantly more powerful than Thor's. And note that while it says it costs 8 AP, it generates 2 red AP when used, so the second use effectively only costs 6 AP. That means you can fire it off every two red matches, which isn't too bad. His main drawback used to be his low health, but that is much less of a handicap since they increased the health of most characters.

If you manage to pick up any Black covers for Mohawk Storm, then give her a go.

Her hailstorm does heaps of damage if you level her up (at max level it does more than 1000 damage per turn) and it only costs 9 Black. Her green power generates AP as well. Especially helpful against non hero bots because they cannot do any matches to destroy the attack tiles.

Picked up two more 3* characters. Spider-Man Classic Yellow cover and Iron Fist Black cover.

Spider-Man doesn't seem very useful off the hop, but that Iron Fist passive ability seems like could be pretty helpful, especially when leveled up.

For Mohawk Storm I've only been able to get 3 Greens.

Not telling you guys anything you don't know but it sucks have all these covers but only one offs so there's not a lot you can do with them. I know in Deadpool's Daily a couple days ago there was a Blade cover as a reward for the 3 Star thing, but I couldn't even get past the first wave. So, still just plodding away. :-)

That day had the ninjas, right? If so I'm not surprised you had problems, since they seem to have introduced a bug with the latest game update. When I first tried that match, I took out one of the teisatsu ninjas first. He did his "turn to smoke move" adding a few attack tiles to the board. I was expecting that, but what I wasn't expecting was for the move to continue triggering every turn afterwards. After taking out he second teisatsu, I was getting two new sets of attack tiles every turn, and quickly wiped out as the board filled with attack tiles.

I had more success the second time around. This time I went after the non-ninja enemy first, and then whittled the two teisatsus down to almost no health without killing them. I then took them both out in consecutive moves, which only gave me one extra set of attack tiles. This was manageable, and so I was able to get through the remaining rounds successfully. Hopefully they fix this bug before there are too many more missions using the ninjas.

I managed to get 4 new covers for my 3* Daken recently (3 from the Hulk event, one as progression from the current one), which brings him up to 3/3/3. Still not quite as useful as my copy of his 2* version, but getting close. I also managed to pull a Psylocke cover from a token a few days ago, but haven't recruited her. I had enough HP for an extra roster slot (currently costing 700 HP each :( ), but will probably want that for Bullseye. Luckily I got 250 HP from DDQ yesterday, so I might gather enough before she expires. I like that they give you 2 weeks to decide now rather than one.

Having 3 teisatsu in the first round was a pain with this bug. I ended up taking them all out in one turn to avoid the bug, but the attack tiles and new enemies almost took out my Black Widow (down to about 400 health) before I could clean up the board a bit with Storm. It didn't help that the ninjas don't generate blue AP so you can't collect it by stealing.

I think I must have been in an easy bracket for the last versus season since I managed to come 48th, which gave me another 10 pack of tokens on top of the one from progression rewards. I also managed to place in the top 100 for the Deadpool versus tournament, which I almost never managed before this new weekly boosted characters system, given I have no character levelled over 94. I wonder if it is due to fewer experienced players participating, or an expected consequence?

Man, I hope they fix the PvP stuff. I join an event and the 3 fights I have to choose from all have 3 Level 100+ characters, when I don't even have 1 character above 90. :-/

The non-season PvP events are often a bit weird. Not as many people try as hard, so you're going to hit the high level players quicker. Also, given that all villain characters are boosted in the event you won't be able to compete very well unless you have some decent villains on your roster too.

I finally decided to open the two ten-packs of tokens I won last season. From the first, I got:

3* Bullseye green
3* Human Torch black
3* Iron Man blue
Daredevil purple

And from the second I got:

Luke Cage yellow
Black Panther yellow
Black Panther blue

The rest were all 2* covers. Not too bad a result: I could use all those 3*'s except for Luke Cage (who is currently at 5/2/2), and didn't need new roster slots.

Among the 2* covers I also got a 2* Bullseye green cover, so it looks like they've finally given him a third power. It looks like a copy of the new 3* Bullseye's green power.

Man, I wish I could win a 10 pack of tokens. That'd be awesome. lol

Now, looking for some advise. I'm back to being in a roster crunch.

I have 3 characters ready to be recruited, but full up on slots.

Here's who I have available to recruit. They all have 13 days to recruit so I'm not in a hurry yet.

Electra- Purple
Bullseye (Classic 3*) - Green power
Colossus - Yellow

One current roster slot I can ditch is my 2nd Thor Marvel Now. I just had a lot of covers for him so was seeing how high I could get him. :-) Beyond that not sure what to do. I have 4 1* characters so i can do the DPD for the 500 ISO, but may have to sacrifice that at this point.

I have 275 HP so will be a bit before I can grab more slots.

Any ideas?

Elektra's purple is a bit of a weird one. On a clean board, a single use of the ability will hurt you by producing only enemy strike tiles. However, if you cast it a second time it will steal some of them back for a net win. Apart from this case, there are three other cases where the ability can be useful:

1. you're playing against a character that generates strike tiles (Daken, Blade, Wolverine, Sentry, etc)
2. you've brought along another character that can steal the strike tiles back (Moonstone, She-hulk)
3. you've brought along another character that can create enemy strike tiles for you to steal (e.g. Captain Marvel or 3* Wolverine).

So on the face of it, a single cover Elektra seems of limited use. But that said, with the changes to how they're doing essentials for story events it is probably worth keeping anyway. Now that they're splitting the essentials over a 2*, 3* and 4* character, having Elektra is occasionally going to unlock a number of easy essential nodes for you every few events, which could help you win more covers.

I don't really have much to say about Bullseye, since I haven't used him much. Given that he's just been released and featured in an event, he probably won't be essential for some time. There will probably be a versus tournament featuring him soon though, but a single cover isn't going to be that much of a benefit there. I don't really know how he'd compare with any other single cover characters you might have.

Similarly, I haven't used Colossus much.

As far as saving 1* characters for the Deadpool Quest, you don't need a full team to do that mission. I've been able to reliably beat it using a fully covered level 20 Juggernaut. The extra 500 or 2500 ISO a day he brings in makes him worth keeping around, but I can't justify more 1* characters. If you find yourself using the 1* characters less, it is probably time to think of selling some of them.

I finally managed to make it through to the third section of the Gauntlet, although still need to go back and do the essential nodes from the second section. It feels more difficult than last time they ran the event, and I've had to rely more exclusively on the boosted characters to get through matches. I made it about half way through the final section last time, and I'm not sure I'll make it that far this time.

My best team for most nodes has been Mystique, Human Torch and Captain America. I recently got the 5th black cover for Mystique, so that power is doing ~ 8000 damage when combined with shape-shift due to the level boost. My Torch and Cap are only about half covered, but still help out a bit (mostly red/green for Torch, and yellow/blue for Cap).
