Which has been a big controversy that a lot of people (myself included) disagree with. |

I agree with you about it not being worth a win. It's a nice looking film for sure, but given that it's all in computer effects, it's a bit frustrating. I do love Christopher Doyle's anger against it. Can't wait to see what he'll be like if Gravity wins for cinematography this year. I'm still really frustrated that Roger Deakins didn't win for Skyfall. That is one of the finest looking films of 2012 by far. |

I agree that Skyfall should've taken the prize. Deakins really deserves an Oscar and although Prisoners looks amazing I'm not sure it can beat out Inside LLewyn Davis this year, that film looked incredible. I can get behind Gravity winning best cinematography moreso than Life of Pi. So much of the special effects in Gravity hinged on the lighting given the entire production of the film was so unconventional. They essentially created their own way to light the scene, and I think that deserves some recognition. I wouldn't personally give it the best cinematography award but I can understand if someone would. |

Puppeteer! Oh man what a fantastic game. The style and atmosphere tehy creat is just amazing. Fun gameplay and varied content too which was surprising. Only downside was that it didn't have the "Mario Bros" factor where I could play the game for hours on end. I generally played 1 or two acts per session (30-60 minutes) and was then over it enough to try something else. Well worth playing for anyone who's a fan of a humorous, well told, fun story and enjoyable game. IMO a must for people like Chamboosey.

It's just such a beautiful game Platforming feels like it falls somewhere between Little Big Planet (worst) and Mario (best). Controls like LBP but they've sharpened it considerably so the floatiness is gone and you can concentrate more on what you need to do rather than how to do it... if that makes sense. Cutting and airborne sections still felt clumsy though.

Dear Esther. Meh, I don't really like these kind of 'games'. |

Speaking of "games" (I assume you mean in The Stanley Parable sense where it's basically an interactive story), I recommend the free horror game Catachresis. |
