I lie! Already on chapter four on my second play through and I've found heaps of the locks to open. How did I miss this?

Alright, so I missed the lock picking because it depends on who you save in the first chapter. So if you save one guy, you get lock picking, you save the other you get keypads. There's also a few other timeline differences. Makes the second playthrough slightly different and keeps it interesting.

I really like Super Bunnyhop's critical close-ups of the first three Metal Gear Solid games. They're close to feature-length, too. Also, spoilers (duh).

Critical Close-up: Metal Gear Solid (part 1)
Critical Close-up: Metal Gear Solid (part 2)
Critical Close-up: Metal Gear Solid 2
Critical Close-up: Metal Gear Solid 3
The MGS3 video is probably my favourite Gaming related youtube video that someone put together. Has spoilers obviously.

Though I'm not too big on The End as a boss fight as some others are (Not actually dying removes the tension and a failure state is an annoying backtrack). I thought the Sorrow was just a more memorable boss.

I played the original top view camera version and it's still one of my favourite games.

Finished Rogue Legacy and Thomas Was Alone

Rogue Legacy. It's a challenging rogue-like that's unusually addictive, with simple nuanced gameplay mechanics and one of the most balanced 'economies' in a game that I can remember. Didnt really Stat/skill gates were too steep across the zones and there are times where the randomness can get to you with some curated levels not suiting the random class/character you get to pick from.

Thomas Was Alone. It was okay. It shines on the presentation/characterization than it does on the gameplay. It never really challenged or explored/mixed its various game mechanics all that far than it could have. But it was still rather enjoyable with the entertaining narration and single-player co-operation thing it did.

Finished Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate. Best version of the games - although it's really just the two mixed together. An enjoyable shooter even though some of the bosses (the final one in particular and one of the gut bosses) is really bloody hard. 8/10

Played and completed Infamous First Light. Great game. Why wasn't this the main game? Fetch is a much better protagonist than Delsin. Really enjoyable if a bit short. 8/10. Now to do the challenge rooms.

Just finished Diablo 3. Pumped through it in 9 hours with a friend. Must say, it's way more fun with people, I also played the Barbarian this time which I thought was way more fun than the Demon Hunter. Quite enjoyed myself. It was way, way, WAY too fucking easy though. It's just stupid, we were playing on Expert (the highest available to us) and it was just absurdly easy. I'm really not very interested in doing multiple playthroughs so it's just dumb that's absolutely no challenge. I wouldn't mind playing the expansion but it's way overpriced so I likely won't any time soon.

Overall, I liked Diablo 3.

Am I the only one here playing Alien Isolation? It's not without its issues but overall is god damn fantastic and a miracle it was ever made. A stealth-survival horror game similar to Outlast or Amnesia with AAA production values is not something I would have thought would be made. I think the Gamespot review was way too harsh.

I really want to play but I've had so little time I decided not to buy it. Same for Forza Horizon 2. Bayonetta 2 on the other hand... well for that I've made time :)

Same. I'm really eager to play it - and Shadow of Mordor - but because of the next few weeks being really busy and away from my PS4 I've decided to wait a month or so til I can play it. Also, wait til it goes down a little in price.

Not to go on about Infamous First Light even more - but, I will - man, I really enjoyed those challenge rooms. They really were quite enjoyable. Disappointed that there weren't daily challenges or anything like that. I'd go so far as saying it's the best Infamous game out there. The controls are fun, it looks fucking great. It changes just enough to make it enjoyable. My only complaint is that because it's DLC that the story element of it is quite short which is frustrating but understandable. Fetch is such a great character to play and the villain in the game is enjoyable too. Really hoping for more from her character in the next game and more challenge rooms. No more Delsin please.

I'll be bringing my Vita that's for sure. And some PS4 controllers. That's about it. I'll bring you Infamous First Light to play as I can't find Second Son. And First Light is better. As evidenced here: http://forums.c117games.com/topic/7254373/1/#new

Just finished Shadows of Mordor on XBONE. Loved it. Absolutely loved it.
When I saw the first trailer released for this game I really wasn't into it. I thought it was just going to be an AC clone. But as they released more info on the Nemesis system and how it works my interest picked up.
I'm really glad I gave this game a shot. My only complaint is that IMO you get the ability to control orcs way to late in the game.
Apart from that the combat was really good. And if you don't pick your fights well you can quickly get surrounded and end up dead, creating another orc captain in the process.
Not sure how this game would fit if your not a fan of the gameplay elements of AC. I think it does set itself apart quite well but I guess it does follow the same basic principles.

Finished Monument Valley last night. Such a beautiful game but exceptionally short and easy. Can't help but feel a little ripped off for $5

Pity you didn't play it last week. You could have told the guy you felt ripped off.
