Good Old Days
Take a black and white photo of a Gopher riding an Elk

This is best done in the chapter The Lab. At the start you'll find several Elk and Gophers roaming. Pick up the Gopher and throw him onto the Elk's back, then take a photo of it with the Black and White filter (costs 100 Confetti, first filter on the right side). This can be done as early as Maypole Fields, but given this area is very hilly it is very difficult to successfully throw the Gopher onto the Elk's back, thus isn't recommended.

I can't remember where I found the guide for the confetti though... http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/tearaway/218133-sos-confetti-scraps-you-cant-find.html

I mean, it all depends on whether you want another platinum or not. I'd say just get one of your kids to do it.

So you gave me a guide on how to do something I've already done and gave me nothing towards the thing I was bitching about in the first place that you told me to use a guide for?

Now wonder we all have fun mispronouncing your name on the podcast. It's revenge in advance

Anyhow. Yes. I gave you useless advice. As per usual. The last sentence was helpful though.

I was just in the lavaratory having a think about this conversation (it's true) and wondering why I dislike the thought of trying for the Tearaway plat whereas the RAyman Legends one doesn't bother me. I figured out that it's because I'm still enjoying Rayman and playing that just for fun. The trophies are just an excuse. If I go for the plat fwith Tearaway the plat is the goal not fun and, as a result, I think I'll detract from the expereicen.

So fuck it

Fine. That's fine by me.

However, for the Rayman Legends platinum, come back to me in three months when you're still only a quarter of the way to getting to level 11 awesomeness.

Well Indy plays the challenges each day so I can always outsource that one :) Anyway I'm hoping the Rayman Origins levelw ill somehow magically earn me the extra 1 level of awesomeness and 750,000 lums I need. Lol

What a stupid fucking design choice that was. What were they thinking?

I have no idea. I have no problem with there being a trophy related to online leaderboards. That's fine. However, to make it a grind to get the last 1000 is pathetic really. The lums are easy easy easy to get compared to the last level of awesomeness. I've just hit 700 points remaining and I've only just made it into the top 1000 in the world (out of 250,000).

I disagree. The elevel of grind required to get those trophies is just wrong. They should reward you for doing everything in the game, not require you to then spend more time going for two trophies than you did finishing the entire thing to begin with!

Fuckit I just hate grinding in general. It's like finding collectibles. And yeah I've heard the argument "use a map/guide" but that still defeats the purspose for me. A game should be designed better.

Now I'm gonna get off my high horse (yaeh I have a horse, suck shit) before someone points out inconsistencies or hypocrisy

I don't like leaderboards myself, but I'm just making an excuse for myself to actually finish this damn platinum.

Gamers playing a game that they dont enjoy just for provably worthless achievements for nothing but an imaginary power trip is the cancer that's making alot of videogames boring, a chore or a grind.

It's an abuse of your self-enjoyment and your time.

Yes and no. I still love the game, but the virtual carrot is dangling right there.

Totally agreed. If you're going to apply yourself to something unenjoyable, make it something in real life that gives real results.

I'm not applying myself to something that's 'unenjoyable' though. I still enjoy it to bits and find it a good stress reliever playing these levels every day. If I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't play it.
