If anyone's still looking for a WiiU the Good Guys have a decent sale with the basic pack inc limited edition Skylanders Swap Force starter pack for $200 or the Premium bundle for $300.

That's a solid deal. Is that Skylanders game new? You could probably get a bit back selling it.

That's exactly what I intend to do :D Now the kids have a WiiU to play all their Wii games on, I can give them my Rayman Legends (as I prefer the PS4 copy) and, once the sale is over, I can sell off Skylanders to recoup some cash. Woohoo! :)

Might keep that gold dude though. When I bought mine the particular store (Cranbourne) had a special where they were giving away 3 packs with it as well. All Spyro's Adventure stuff that was part of an LG deal but still... an extra 3 Skylander toys isn't worth being fussy over :)

It's tempting but I really shouldn't be buying a console right now. Don't have the money or time to split across 3 platforms and I haven't even played my 3DS in a couple of months now.

I'd grab one bit don't have the funds right now. I assume the premium is better than basic?

The Humble Store has a Steam-like sale now on:

https://www.humblebundle.com/store

The Flash sales are a little too quick though.

Apparently missed out on South Park being $24 this morning and the massive Crusader Kings 2 collection sale.

Right now:

CoH2: $14
Mortal Kombat: Komplete: $5
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: $5
Hotline Miami: $2.50
Trine 2 - Complete: $2.99
Both FFVII and FFVIII are on sale too.

And there is also the Humble Weekly Bundle now on: https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly
With Awesomenauts (MP still surprisingly active compared to on console), Sanctum 2 and Orcs Must Die 2 as the highlights on it.

I've noticed the flash sales are kind of random. One of the few I saw was yesterday or the day before with Batman Arkham Origins being $7.50 for a few hours. After that it went up to $10 or so. But then there was nothing else for the rest of the day and I didn't see anything today.

Yep... marginally. The main difference is that you get 32gb internal memory instead of 8gb but, with the ability to plug in an external drive (and how fast 32gb internal will fill) is that really worth an extra $100?

You also get the Wii remote sensor bar thing, Nintendoland, the color black and... um... that's it I think. Nintendoland is ok but it's no Wii Sports. Barely played my copy since launch and will give it to the kids to play on their basic. The memory has proven handy as I've downloaded a few games. Still play most of my "big" titles on disc though. Black... I like all my consoles to be black. Looks neat when they're all the same color but you could always color in your white console if you wanted. Sensor bar... not sure why they excluded it but it's also the same one used with the Wii so you can just take your old one and use that. Not like you'll need your Wii once you have a WiiU. It plays all the same games and outputs a digital signal instead of that blurry analogue crap!

Ironic now I remember that I initially bought my WiiU so I could play Wii games looking clearer rather than for any WiiU titles :)

So technically I could just plug my Wii remote sensor into the Wii U and be done with my Wii yes? I doubt I'll be downloading games on it as I'd probably use the disc version more than anything else.

Plants vs. Zombies is free on Origin until the end of May.

I've never played it before, so I might as well give it a go now.

It applies to both in-store and online purchases. I finally got around to ordering Tearaway for $30.

Nice that it includes online purchases.

I went to two of the local JB stores near me and neither had any Forza Horizon in stock.

Ended up buying South Park from JB for $31. Retail copy is Steamworks enabled too.

Was tempted to buy D3: Reaper of Souls but ehhhhh.

From all the good recent games I saw, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Crysis 3 were going for ~$20.
