They are probably the same people who moan about games being art that deserves the same prestige as movies and books. And now people actually are taking them seriously in that respect and suddenly they're "just games".
Fucking this, it infuriates me that people want games taken seriously but whine when the games are held to the same social responsibilities as other art forms.

The Godly Bayonetta 2 for my new Wii-U thing.

Very keen to hear your thoughts.
Well, it is the sequel to the best console game last gen.

In general, the moment to moment gameplay and encounter variety is alot better than the first, it's also alot more consistent in its presentation. But I prefer the unusual charm and boss fights from the first game.

While I wait for terabytes of patches to download, I decided to finally start Pandora's Tower on the Wii.

I'm only an hour or two in, but it's looking promising.

I really wanted to like Pandora's Tower but it just never "clicked" with me.

So, in Fallout New Vegas, if my stat isn't high enough to convince someone of something (e.g. to help Primm) does that just mean I should come back later? I seem to recall there were always alternate routes in Fallout 3 however New vegas seems kinda static

There are items that temporarily boost stats.

You don't have the "random chance" speech checks from Fallout 3. So while in Fallout 3, a 20% success speech check would mean that if you saved before the dialoug, you'd expect to pass the check with five or so reloads, in New Vegas you've either got enough skill or you don't.

I think the variety came in that many of the speech checks in New Vegas don't rely on the speech skill. For instance, a high enough intelligence skill might give you an extra scientific speech option, or a high enough medicine skill might open up a speech option to related to healing someone.

Binding of Isaac is addictive and bonkers. You attack enemies by crying your tears at them. At one point I found Isaac's dog's head, which traumatizes Isaac and increases the damage of his tears.

The game is bonkers.

I've learnt two wonderful things today

1. Valiant Hearts is an amazing game. Thanks Jingles for the heads up on Another Dungeon. I might have overlooked this game had it not been for that and that would have been a travesty!

2. Shovel Knight is an amazing game. I'd given it a shot before based on MadCapsule and Bennobee's recommendations however I felt it was a cheapish 8-bit tributey type thing. Got my new 3DS today and, after seeing Chris nominated it top 5 at Another Dungeon I decided to give it another shot. I obviously wasn't in the right frame of mind the first time around as it's amazing!

Needed something cheerful to play in between Valiant Hearts and starting Alien Isolation so hopped back into Super Mario 3D World and still loving it. Such a joyful game.

I defeated Mom in Binding of Isaac and then the game ended. How do you access the next part of the game?

I'm in the same situation but need something I can play in front of the kids. Probably going to go with Forza Horizon 2 in my case

Decided to replay KOTOR on my phone.

Surprisingly runs well and is a good port. Just needed to turn the default touch sensitivity up. I bet some of the minigames will suck using the touch stuff though. But it's as solid as I remember.
