Yeah I haven't got the premium packs for either game. I just can't justify the high prices for a bunch of maps. As much as I would like to play them, 50 bucks is too much. If it was 30, I'd consider it.

I enjoyed BF3 a lot too, I can't tell what of problems it had that were fixed in 4, I didn't get that deep. I just thought the core bf4 maps were much better all around.

I've started playing PIxelJunk Shooter. Somehow managed to pass over this game and never realised the fun I was missing out on :)

Started on Chickan's favourite game - Child of Light last night. So. Much. Rhyming. A good looking game for sure and the combat is nice as well. Lets see how long the pleasantries will last. What did you hate about it again Chickan?

I also started on Shadow of Mordor last night. Phwoar. This game is great fun. Doing my usual 'going around and collecting shit and doing side missions prior to even starting the main quest' stuff and really enjoying it. Combat is tough, but not over poweringly so. There's one orc who keeps killing me and I want to slaughter him, but it's just not happening. One day I'll get him... One day...

The thing I hated most about it was the overall feeling that it was trying way too hard to be "arty". The rhyming felt forced and disconnected me from the characters/story. Art style was ok but not one I particularly favour. Much prefer stuff like your beloved Rayman Legends or Journey or something. Never been a fan of whatever style of art the dis-proportioned sketching is.

I loved the battle of Child of Light however it quickly grew repetetive despite a pretty decently varied cast.

I wonder if I would've enjjoyed it more if I hadn't been told repeatedly how much I'd love the game. Kinda like Shovel Knight. Fun platformer but not something that's wowing me so far.

Did you feel that the game was forcing you to love it? It feels a little twee right now, but I'm interested to see where it'll go. Part of the reason why I started this over Transistor was I knew that I'd love Transistor whereas I'm not sure I'll love Child of Light. I enjoy it so far, but right now it feels like a 7/10 game. Which is not a problem at all.

That's pretty much what I thought too. I'd probably give it a 6 after completing it though as I didn't feel it did anything much over the course and just got borering.

Btw, except for Rubella, you can do most side quests immediately and the rewards are usually ok.

I decided to finish the first Bayonetta before starting on the sequel. I like the touch of Nintendo added to the update.

Time to try Tomb Raider again. Just have to get past that "invincible soldier" crap they always pull :)

At least it looks pretty! Although why she's covered in that much blood after swimming in a river is beyond me

I'm hooked on Wasteland 2 the same way I was when I played Fallout 1 a couple years ago, but even more-so. This game really is what I wanted;

Fallout 3: No Oblivion Fans Allowed, Faithful To The Previous Two Games Edition.

I started it then, upon loading my game a second time, forgot what it was I was meant to be doing and got distracted... not sure what with but I bet it was amazing

Shadow of Mordor keeps getting better. I'm only a couple of hours in, but boy is it good fun. I've also been lazy and not done many story missions, just going around and opening up areas and finding stuff.

Also trying to defeat this one orc who has become my nemesis in a way. Bastard just appears sometimes and is great with an arrow and constantly manages to kill me. He started off as a level 8 orc, now he's level 22. Bastard.
