I never got all the GTAV praise. I reckon it's one of the most overhyped games of the last generation.

Should be fine.

And nuttz, I feel like it got less praise than GTA games usually do. Felt like there was less overall enthusiasm surrounding it too.

I should probably make sure: if I can run Direct X9 games will I also be able to run Direct X9c games?

EDIT: Errrr it says I need 512MB of VRAM and I've got no clue if I have that or how to check it. None of the games I own have requirements above 256MB and I can't play them except on low settings anyway so I probably can't play this. I won't risk it.

So I created a CS:GO smurf account today, "xXx_NAN-SHANKER_xXx". It's mainly for playing with my lower ranked friends who don't play as much / as well, but I decided to have a bit of fun this afternoon and try playing with a controller (The horror!). It went better than expected.

The game is coming out of PS4 if you're willing to wait.

is it because of its cinematography

I'm putting the positive side of Ethan Carter aside for a second to say that areas that lead to dead ends, coupled with slow movement, thirded with 5 minute wilderness walks where nothing happens, and quartered with an important area of the game being placed in a completely inconspicuous spot I was lucky enough to chance upon before I wandered 5 minutes in the other direction, fucking kill the atmosphere. Otherwise the game is good, weird, and not what I expected. It's like The Stanley Parable but with puzzles and a storyline.

Back 2 game.

Pretty shit puzzles. Well one of them at least. Matching symbols with shapes like a toddler over here. Which wouldn't piss me off if heaps of walking wasn't thrown in simply because new-breed dipshit game designers and their fucking wank art crusade think it's okay to toss simplicity to the wind because they're Making a Point. And fuck your sub-Skyrim wilderness who cares if it looks nice I could just as well go for a walk outside than walk through your vacant forest learn to tell a story idiot worst game 6/10.

Point is that the game might have a good story but it doesn't help the story when the lazily construed gameplay cuts into the experience. It's testing my patience.

Back 2 it.

UPDATE: I finished the trite puzzle and the game glitched out and wouldn't load the next area.

I don't recommend this game, whatever its merits. That said I'm tired and cranky goodnight.

Been playing Shadows of Mordor. Plays really well. The fights are difficult and I love the freedom you get in how you do things. Only complaint so far is how similar it is to AC in a few ways
