Until halfway through TLOU I thought Ellen Page played Ellie because she looks like her a bit.

I wanted a break from Skyrim, so I started playing Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. According to my download list, I had purchased it over a year ago, but never got around to playing it :( I had been planning to play it after FC3 itself, but that probably wasn't necessary.

My one complaint about Blood Dragon is that it is too low contrast. Everything that isn't neon coloured just bleeds together. Turning the brightness up helps a little but not much.

Despite that, it is a fun little game.

Played through Episode two of The Walking Dead Season 2 last night. It's not bad. The first episode did not have me wanting to come back to be honest, so it's nice to see episode two pick up the pace a little. There were some really good moments here. I've started to turn Clementine into a bit of a hard bitch which is proving to be interesting. Looking forward to seeing where episode three goes from here - although I feel that it looks a bit like the compound from season three of the show so far.

Anyone tried for a record time in the Land of the Livid Dead time trial challenge (the one that's roughly a 20 second sprint)? After reaching No. 1 on the leaderboards, being literally the first person to attempt the daily challenge, I settled at No. 11 with a time of 20.25. I'm .08 shy of a Diamond Cup but I just can't go faster than that.

Depends. I assume you mean the daily challenge right? I've given up on the daily challenges since I got the platinum for it. I was going to try a speed run of Origins some time later this year.

Yeah the daily challenge. I think the rotating challenges are an awesome concept, and it's good that the leaderboards renew each rotation, so the leader isn't eternally some guy named xXX_fu_Q_XxX with a 0.01 record.

I just checked and I slipped from 11th to 45th overnight :(

I worked out how to exploit the spin attack/jump to run faster and also used the double spin you get when attacking things and got about as precise a run as I could manage from that, and yet there's still people who shaved three extra seconds off. There has to be another trick I don't know about because that's simply impossible with the tricks I'm using.

It's really important that I hit the Top 10 in this children's videogame so tell me what I'm missing.

Yeah, don't get too excited if you're the top of the ladder as soon as the new map goes up. Happened to me quite a bit and I'd find I'd get bumped off down to gold or silver by the end of the round.

That said, I got really good at the speed challenges and managed to get a couple of diamonds near the end.

I never had the patience to learn the levels well enough to score above gold. With the constant rotations it made the continuing reward negligable. Still an awesome concept but, for me, didn't provided entertainment past about a month.

Spin jumps were good as well as attacking (spin roll) the second you hit the ground. If you learn the vertical levels you can abuse the ground slam quite a bit too

I find that if you go for the diamond in the last hour or two on a Monday challenge, you've got a pretty good chance of getting it. Don't go for diamond on the weekends as you just won't get it. As to how they get three seconds off - who knows, glitching maybe? Two players sometimes? Speed controllers?

But... but... that's where you first get to start having fun with the grav gun and razorblades isn't it?
