I do hope they don't make a sequel to it. They will, but I really hope they wouldn't.

I'm on what I think is one of the last puzzles I have to do in The Swapper before I can unlock what I think is the final area. But it's breaking my brain, I've been stumped on it for days now. In the meantime I managed to complete a couple of others I hadn't done yet, so I'm pretty sure this is it, but Jesus it's hard.

It's this one:

http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/562142740729731513/9199406C5DB9F0861882398796867E704F5CC1F5/

I'm going to leave it for now and give it one more crack later tonight or tomorrow. But if I still can't get it I may have to consult a guide. I've already used a guide for one puzzle in the game that I could have probably figured out myself if I wasn't so impatient. I don't want to use it again, but this just seems impossible.

I feel like I have one solution that's so goddamn close but it doesn't quite work fucking fuck

If you feel like a hint go look at the image I used as a header for the review here :) Gives away the shot of nearly the end solution.

That was one of the trickier ones in the game for sure :S

Are you laughing at my misfortune?

Thanks Dave, I'll have a look if I need to.

Actually the one you mention in that thread with the 4 panels and doors was the one I had to use the guide for. I decided to look at the picture, but it's not quite coming to me yet how you even got there. I'll keep trying.

Alright I caved in and checked a guide, getting to the spot I needed to be in turned out to be fairly simple, but yeah I never got it and I'm not sure if I would've figured the rest out.

Great game though.

Twisted's Swapper experience reminds me of that Simpsons episode when Lisa couldnt solve that brain teaser.

A guide!? Do you want to end up like this?

Left Behind (which I haven't finished yet):

Anyway, random Last of Us observations:

1. I hate in games where you have a companion when the companion will stand at the exit of an area and say stuff like "What are you waiting for?" ad nauseum, especially if it's a game where exploration is encouraged. The Last of Us never does this and I'm very grateful.

2. Likewise, I'm surprised a game that wrangles so much suspense out of tense situations never once goes for a jump scare. Even horror games that handle suspense well will always go for one or two but The Last of Us always holds back, leaving you with the more frightening idea that it could happen eventually.

3. The people who make Call of Duty obviously have the talent to make locations look as beautiful as they do in The Last of Us. I hope one day they stop treating them like set pieces and instill them with a sense of life and history like this game does and create something great.

I'm playing on Grounded difficulty and realising how much your companions get in your way. I've been discovered so many times because I've tried dragging someone into a room to safely choke them out only to be blocked by Ellie standing in the doorway.

I noticed a few weeks ago that the Gold subscription I'd bought for DS2 had renewed TWICE without me realizing. Luckily Dishonored, a game I was gonna buy one day, is a free game for the next couple of weeks, so $20 for Dishonored is a bit of a silver lining. I looked online and apparently you don't need a Gold subscription on 360 to continue playing free Gold games you've downloaded, so hopefully there's games in the future that are worth shilling out $10 for.

Also I played the P.T demo tonight. It's very scary, but it's the cliche-ridden kind of scary that doesn't stick with you once you're done with it. And my fear quickly turned into annoyance because of the combination of two things: Hideo Kojima's impossibly obscure puzzles and the fact that while I'm trying to figure them out there is the ear-piercing sound of a crying baby on loop.

Kojima's out-of-the-box ideas were pretty cool when I was 15 but I can't be bothered setting up my headset microphone and playing a Youtube video into the microphone until I hear a baby laugh just so I can access the trailer to Silent Hill.

There's a funny part among all the horror though that's classic Kojima.

Metal Gear Solid 5 is gonna be the best game next year.

No game will match the box gameplay of MGS5. This game is Kojima-proof™. It's not possible that Kojima could mess this game up.
