It's one of those games that was loved at release and universally praised, won multiple GotY awards and what-not, and then down the track the average gamer on the internet seems to only remember the bad stuff about the game and thinks its the shittiest thing since sliced shit. |

I remember a whole bunch of brilliance in that game. The only thing that turned me off it was the really tedious thieves guild quests. I had that to do and the Dark Brotherhood (I always like to save the Dark Brotherhood til last) and the thieves guild just bored me. |

I hated* it before it was cool. I cancelled my pre-order for it. #TrendSetter *Don't actually hate it, it's just overrated. It's OK. |

The Swapper was $3.75 during the last steam sale. ...Or was in the humble bundle with Guacamelee, Antichamber, Monaco, Giana Sisters and Dust: An Elysian tale - where playing the games would likely provide return credit off the trading cards alone lol. |

People that hate Skyrim still managed to put at least 30 hours into the game. |

Presumably you need to get through 30 hours of game play before you hit the horrible parts? |

Sony fanboy here. Not going to play it on Steam. They just wanted to really make sure they hated it. |

I'm going to say that's because the reasons they hate skyrim aren't apparent immediately? |

I didn't like it and probably put around 30-40 hours in. I think that's mainly because it's what the game required to play thru and I wanted to finish the thing to justify the purchase to myself (yes I know how stupid that is) Ok, to be more precise, 36 hours!

Other than the Skill tress (where people actually enjoyed min-maxing the broken Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy trees), Skyrim's biggest flaws are apparent at the early parts of the game. Some even arguably more potent early on than later. The main quest-chains arent great, but it didnt felt as tedious as the ones in say Oblivion with those gates. Skyrim is at its best when you're ignoring quest goals and just go about exploring locales without marked quests, infiltrating homes and discovering landmarks. The beauty of Skyrim lies in ignoring the quest markers, running off randomly down the road or into the wilderness and coming across a whole variety of cool shit. There are few other games where the journey between destinations is just as vital a part of the experience as the destinations themselves.

I think they mean they wouldn't be participating in the PSN Play promotion if they were including The Swapper in the Instant Game Collection at the same time. For a moment I was getting PSN Play confused with PlayStation Now. I wouldn't want my games to be associated with the launch of that service, given the current pricing and guaranteed reliability issues! |
