Started the co-op campaign for Far Cry 3 the other night. Quite enjoyable. Difficult in parts and really good. Has now got me hyped for the co-op in Far Cry 4.

That reminds me I purchased a point and click story/adventure game called Lost Echo on my phone the other day. Seems like a good game from the review I read. Only booted it up for five minutes to see how it would run on my phone. It looks nice, the dialogue and voice acting seems decent too.
A post guaranteed to draw mjc's attention :)

Yeah, great game. Make sure you stick with it as once you get over the initial hump, it's really engrossing. Be sure to check out some of these gems as well :)

Too bad NONE of those are on Windows Phone haha. Some of them are on or coming to Steam though and look decent.

Oh well, that's what I get for investing in a still-growing platform. Still waiting for The Room games (mechanical box puzzles) to come over, if they ever do. But hopefully one day soon, as there has been quite a lot of activity on WP in the last few months. The store seems to be growing at a faster rate than ever.

Plague Inc: Evolved

It's an early access game. So it must be unfun and terrible.

I've been playing CS:GO. Got my rank yesterday after winning 10 competitive matches, Silver Elite Master (not too bad for a beginner I guess). I haven't really been 'into' a multiplayer game since Halo 3, really. It's good to be enjoying something multiplayer again. The only problem is it can be frustrating playing without a team so hopefully I'll end up with one at some point.

Plague Inc. Evolved. It's the PC version of the phone game.

You start as a disease. Initially you are only able to start as bacteria but, as you beat the game additional types unlock with different traits. For example a virus will auto evolve itself meaning you either spend points to devolve it (so you can control it) or hope it evolves in the way you want.

You earn disease points by infecting and killing people. You can spend those points on symptons, infection methods or traits (I think they're the three things. They control the three base stats of the disease which boil down to

1. How infectious the diesese is
2. How severe the symptoms of the disease are
3. How lethal the diesase is

Each country has basic info like whether it's rural or urban, hot or cold, rich or poor, etc. Traits you unlock for your disease affect each country differently. I always have trouble infecting Canada and Greenland as I usually start off in a poor, warm country so my disease starts out accustomed to warmer climates.

Anyway, as your disease spreads, and according to it's severity, it eventually gets noticed. Once noticed the world starts working on a cure. You then either pump all your resources into making your disease resistant to the cure (if you haven't already) or up the symptoms so you quickly infect and kill off the countries working on the cure.

Goal of the game is to kill off the world. Have to be careful though as, if you don't infect everyone first, you can kill off your final host and fail in your mission.

It's fucking great fun

Oh and there are combos! For example here's a zombie combo for the insomnia and anaemia symptoms :)

The single player game has been around for a while. There are a few additions to this version but the main reason it's "early access" is because of the multiplayer components... which I don't really care about anyway!

They also added case scenarios to this one so you can try and replicate things like the black plague

And just for your comment...

I thought I had you on Steam, haven't seen you online. I've been playing some too the last couple of days. Competitive games are fun, I was thinking about jumping into that. GO makes it so easy too with a proper interface for it. I'll join you at some point.

I was wondering what the hell that meant.
