Ok so currently I'm playing The legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD on the Wii U. I never owned a gamecube so I've never played it before and I must say, I'm really loving it! It's different enough from the others that makes it feel like a really fresh take on the series to me.
I'm also playing Lego Marvel super heroes on 360 and some BF4 on Xbone when I get a chance

I started off kind of hating Crysis 2 for the first couple of hours, but I just played about an hour and a half before and I think I'm starting to get into it. I'm mainly fighting aliens now and I don't know if the game itself has actually gotten any better or if it's just my mood that has changed, but I'm starting to enjoy it now whereas I was really forcing it before.

Yeah, Crysis 2 is OK. It's not a bad game. Whilst I don't think it's as good as the original, it's still an above average FPS that does some things better than the first. The way the power mode is integrated into the controls is much better than the first. I miss speed mode, though.

I must admit that I wasn't as taken with Crysis as everyone else. It looked damn pretty but I just didn't enjoiy it as much as the original Far Cry. I know I'm not meant to compare but I can't help myself

lol. I've never played Far Cry, and it's too old now for me to pick it up I think. It would've aged way too much to be anything special for a newcomer.

I played most of Far Cry 2 on 360 back in 09, I look back on that game as having some really good things about it (like the gameworld and graphics), but it was ultimately an annoying game with a lot of ultra-stupid gameplay design decisions. "Malaria Treatment Simulator 2008", "Weapons that enemies use efficiently but are totally broken when you pick them up: the game", and "Grand Theft Checkpoint" are some alternate titles I can think of for that game. I don't think it's a good game.

I've played a couple of hours of Far Cry 3, and it's really good! However, I wasn't satisfied with how it runs on my PC, so I'm waiting until I upgrade before playing it proper.

I like to split the games up in two

Parts with humans - Far Cry 1 was great and so was Crysis, both were pretty equal here IMO as Crysis was essentially just more of Far Cry.

Parts with monsters - An hour or two after the mutants came into play, I stopped playing Far Cry. However I continued to enjoy Crysis once the aliens came along, I found they were more enjoyable to fight for some reason.

Also as Curt said about the suit powers, I think they streamlined them in a pretty intelligent way. Speed mode is just your sprint. Cloak and Armour are mapped to E and Q respectively making them quick to access. And Strength is essentially just holding down the button when jumping and throwing things. It works great.

I quite like the destroyed and overrun by aliens city as a setting, rather than just another island. They do some cool things with it, making Earth seem like another plant but still look somewhat like Earth.

I never got to play Far Cry 2, I always thought it looked great and planned on getting it despite the negative reception, but that never happened. I only just got Far Cry 3 and look forward to getting around to it.

Far Cry 3 felt like a mix between 2 and 1 with the best elements of both. The main problem with #2 was that it was only half complete. Much of the stuff you spent the first half of the game working towards was dumped by the second. E.g. save all these people and it will pay off later. Oh fuck, no budget, ok let's just kill them all off anyway and start an endgame that has almost no relevance to what you did in the first part of the game at all

Yeah, it was wasted potential really. I thought the African setting was fantastic.

Pokemon X.

My first proper Pokemon game. It's rather good and I am enjoying myself with it. It is a little bit addicting though. Does anyone still play it? Wouldn't mind battling or trading some Pokemon. I only have 3 friends on my 3DS friends list, but I would be keen to add you guys on it.

DmC. I'm up to mission 7 and I'm playing on the middle difficulty. It's not hard, yet... I can see on the Hell and Hell mode where you die in one hit would be hard but not the normal game mode. I'm liking that it's short so I can get through it quickly and move on. I actually like the new Dante too.
