Why are PSN downloads so torturously slow? Demon's Souls took like 7 or 8 hours to download and install. Vanquish seems to be going even slower. I don't think my internet is quite that bad. Is it this slow for everyone?

I downloaded Gemini Rue. It sounds intriguing. I also nabbed Beneath a Steel Sky for free on GOG. I think I'm in the mood for some point and clicking. I also got Hotline Miami and Okami HD.

To be honest, I was more excited about getting the games than I am about actually playing any of them, but I guess my shame pile needed replenishing.

It's the PS3. It's a ridiculously slow downloader. The download capability on the PS4 is nice and quick.

If you want to add more to that, Antichamber and The Swapper are on sale at the humble store. Both are great puzzle games, the latter was my goty last year and Chickan seems to have enjoyed it immensely also. Antichamber is just so different and it worked my brain more than the Swapper did. It was developed by an Australian, too.

Antichamber was a mind fuck that equally entertained and frustrated me the whole time I played. Great game

Well if it's a 12 hour singleplayer game of high quality with no multiplayer (Bioshock) then that's fine. I never buy games at full price anyway so zero fucks given. I just think that for quite some time now the singleplayer portions of these Call Of Duty, Battlefield etc. games have been pretty worthless additions that need not be there. Everyone buys those games primarily for the multiplayer.
I was under that impression, too, but it's not necessarily the case with CoD.

@5:29 - About 30% of people who purchase the game every year actually log into their online account and utilise the game's online features.

If 70% of the Call Of Duty fanbase is buying the game for it's singleplayer, that blows my mind.

I wouldn't rule out their use as props or paperweights.

I really wish I'd waited until TWD2 and TWAU were fully released before playing. I loved TWD but going through these games piecemeal isn't nearly as enjoyable. That said, the sequel is nice but doesn't hold up to the original. The episodes in both games feel way too short.

TWD2 ep3 spoilers:

Yeah I played through TWD without having to wait between episodes and I want the same experience with TWD2, so I'm waiting. That and a price drop would be nice.

I'm thinking of getting the 3 episodes now. Should be a decent chunk of game even if they're really short. I was going to wait for the season to end so I can play them all at once, but it's taking too long. I feel like a TWD fix right now.

Started Vanquish last night. It's awesome so far. Exhilarating and totally unique, even if it looks like little more than some ungodly mixture of Gears of War and Halo at first glance.

Get your hands on The Wolf Among Us as well. I imagine the first three episodes would be a blast when played in succession. It's better than TWD2 so far (TWD2 is good though). Its plot is pretty wild and twist-filled. It's unfortunate playing them as they come out because they feel like less like parts of a series and more like chapters in a book.

I'm waiting for both the full seasons of The Walking Dead S2 and The Wolf Among Us S1 to come out. I feel it'd break feel of the game if you played it in chunks like that so far apart.

Vanquish is great fun. Not exactly very long, but a very rewarding action game.
