I liked Heavy Rain's Move support. They didn't just do a one-to-one substitution of controller inputs for Move gestures/buttons, but made the gestures match the action somewhat. For example, getting you to twist the Move controller to turn the key in the ignition of a car. I guess in the case of Heavy Rain they had specific funding from Sony to add Move support though, and it doesn't make quite as much sense to add it without that incentive. |

It's the only game that I can think of that actually used the Move properly. I'd ask how the tablet support for Beyond Two Souls works, but, I doubt Smooth has a tablet that would run it. |

Sorcery has been the only game I've enjoyed using the Move controller for (Heavy RAin didn't have support when I played it). |

The little references peppered thruout WOW are just amazing. Just did a quest where I had to trap a giant bug. When we got it back they got a psychic to read it's mind and did the whole "They're afraid" bit from Starship Troopers. Love it! |

All you need now is a quest giver to say, 'would you like to know more?' |

I certainly do but I wouldnt use it anyway for my purposes. I suppose for a 2 player option which the game does support, where 1 person controls the spirit, it could work, pretty much the same way as the Wii U does with Mario/Rayman. |

I'm not sure I'd agree with that: while the Move support in Heavy Rain was good, it was all gestures that could have been recognised by the original Wii controller. One of the things the Move controller brought to the table was absolute position tracking, and I think it was only using that for sections where the controller was being used as a "mouse pointer" (in the menus and the small shooting sections). I'm not sure what would be the best example, really. Sports Champions had fairly impressive motion tracking. There was also Tumble: a PSN game that did the absolute tracking pretty well. It felt like a tech demo though, so I never bought the unlock code after playing the demo. I guess the Move game I've had most fun with so far though is House of the Dead Overkill. |

Move hasnt been that bad. I wouldnt use it to play FPS like they had support for KZ3 and Resistance 3. Heavy Rain I played with Move and it was superior to the controller version which I tried out originally on the demo. Played a bunch of on the rail shooters few months back like RE Chronicles series and House Of The Dead series and I cannot complain. I didnt pay much for Move, I got it shit cheap on a sale and I had zero expectations on the controls being a replacement for a standard controller. Its the same as Kinect, I mean I hardly use the hardware, its not like I was ever going to play Forza 4 100% with Kinect handling but with some clever development I think both Move/Kinect can still offer some bonuses in some games. I feel that Beyond 2 Souls is a game that would have benefited from Move controls, and I would have played the game in that method. |

I'm sure Quantic Dream could have done something interesting with the Move. However, effort expended on Move support only benefits a subset of customers. They must have decided there were other aspects of the game worth working on that would benefit all customers. |

I forgot about that one. Got it on your recomendation after liking the move use in Dead Space Extinction... I think that was it. Anyway, if you guys want to try out a move game that's actually fun and benefits from the control try Sorcery. Really fun game and quite surprisingly works in a way I see as being better with the "gimmick" (in the same way Tearaway was great with the gimmicks and would have suffered with their removal) |

Speaking of Bioshock Infinite, has anyone played the Burial at Sea DLC? I'm looking for some shortish stuff to fill my time ATM but I've heard mixed things about it so I'm not sure if it's worth the $30. |

I started playing Far Cry 3 and it's cool so far. Playing on the Warrior (hard) difficulty and it is providing a bit of a challenge already. But damn, I've already had a crazy adventure! I just liberated the first camp area (which went poorly). So I thought I'd try doing one of those Wanted side quest things where I had to kill this commander without being seen. Turned out to be a real pain in the ass so I thought I would come back to it later and I left the side quest. Decided to explore around a little before driving back to the main camp (didn't feel like using fast travel, I like the driving mechanics, the cars are fun to drive). Anyway I didn't realise I was driving into hostile territory and came across two pirates on foot and mowed them down. As I was looting their bodies, a patrol happened to be driving past and were like wtf so I jumped in the car and raced off to anywhere. Then I was heading straight for more dudes along the road set up to stop me so I took it off road, over a hill and down and straight into a tree. My hearts going a bit fast here and I hop it and start running. I've only got a pistol and 2 skills btw and I actually felt weak. There were like 6 guards looking for me and I managed to get away. Came across rabid dogs and one attacked me but I got through that. Found another car eventually and checked my map to see where the main base was and started heading south towards it. Suddenly there's another fucking vehicle patrol chasing after me as I'm near the camp and there was a struggle and they veered over the steep riverbank into the river right next to the camp, but they took me with them and I went backwards in my car over the edge and into the river. They were dead, the bank above me was on fire for some reason. I was like 'holy shit' as I finally got back to the camp. Seriously fucking intense. This game is great! |

I played some Papers, Please today. What a strange game. It complements the immigration discussion dave and me were having rather nicely. I'm only on day 5, but already my son has died :(. He got sick in the first couple of days, but I wasn't processing enough immigrants, so could only afford either medicine for him or food for the whole family. I bought the medicine for a few days, but it wasn't making him better and the rest of the family were starving. So finally I bought some food for everyone, but by the next night, my son was dead. Seems he needed that medicine after all... The actual processing is getting tricky now. There have been a couple of suicide bombings just outside my booth, so now the security protocol is getting much stricter. I have to cross-check their passports with their work and entry permits and their stated reasons for coming. It's getting easy to miss the discrepancies and let through some illegals, which just means another fine and less money for my grieving family (or prison for me if I don't earn enough to cover the daily rent). At first I tried to do the right thing, overlooking minor discrepancies to re-unite siblings or help a girl forced into the sex trade, but I really can't afford to be a nice guy anymore. From now on, I'm detaining anyone whose documents aren't in perfect order, no matter what their sob story. I wouldn't want any other family members to cark it because I'm a softie... |
