I've liked each Uncharted more than the last so far. 3 refines 2's combat and is paced better (ie. it doesn't just leap from set piece to set piece). That said, the story follows the same formula as 2's while throwing in some character development for Drake that doesn't really go anywhere in the end. Like, all the other characters say "Nathan your lust for treasure is gonna destroy you and everyone around you" but then he doesn't suffer any consequences. The scene where he hallucinates Sully being shot was great. |

I really wanna play Hellblade. Sounds awesome. It's as good a reason as any to hook up the ps4! |

It's hard to pin down why Uncharted 4 is directed better than the previous games. It's still got jokey back-and-forths and treasure hunting hijinx, but traversing the environment has a similar vibe to The Last of Us, the historical stuff actually seems woven into the plot, and there's some compelling drama at the centre of things. It also finally gets stealth right. Melee combat is still poop. Easily best of the bunch. |

The addition of the grappling hook does wonders for the combat. Not to mention the level design for the combat encounters is leagues ahead of previous games. The Madagascar car chase is probably my favourite set piece of the series too. |

I haven't used the hook much since I try to stealth kill everyone most of the time. Generally fail though. Something cool is how the environments appear so open but you're invisibly sorta corralled in the right direction. Like in the Madagascar sequence. I wonder how they do that. |

My biggest gripe with Uncharted 4 was the tutorial like episodes that take way too long to get over and done. Im not an uncharted noob and I felt that the game play doesnt really kick off until you arrive at Scotland. Uncharted 3 did a similar thing as well and that also annoyed me but they fucked up the aiming on that game compared to 2 and also felt that the set pieces were not as good as 2 however the story had improved. Also I didnt like the puzzles in Uncharted 3, some of them I did have to look online for a solution out of frustration. 2 got it right for the time it was released, although newer games improved on the formula in certain areas. However I am still going to admit that I liked the 1st game the most. I get that its technically the weakest and least refined, what top's my experience is that it was the original game and it felt fresh and was one of the first games I spent time literally just looking at the scenery being amazed at the time by the PS3. I felt they did the tutorial stuff well enough, since it's integrated without pause into the opening story. It also teaches new stuff like the grappling hook and improved stealth mechanics. Uncharted 2's problem is that it's an endless cavalcade of huge explosive set pieces in the vein of Call of Duty. 3 & 4 pace themselves with this so that the big moments are more engrossing when they come along. I haven't finished 4 yet, but I like the games in reverse order. The Last of Us is better than all of them. |

lol, I was expecting at least The Last of Us-lite in terms of character arcs but Spoiler: click to toggle I like this game the most of the bunch, but undisputed game of the year? Nah. I can think of 4 I liked more off the top of my head. I think this is like when Avatar came out and everyone blew their load because of the production values. This is a great deal better than Avatar, but it's not a great game. Definitely worth playing though.Currently debating whether it's worth $55 for the XCOM 2 expansion or if I should wait 'til it's cheaper. Edited by Moo, Sep 12 2017, 01:57 AM.

Hey, neat! Okami is coming to PC (and imitation PCs)! I loved this game on Wii, I will definitely buy this and play it again. I just hope it isn't locked at 30fps. https://youtu.be/vekiiMbA-Zw Edited by Doomguy, Sep 13 2017, 01:37 PM.

It would be good to play without the Wiimote controls forced into it. I hated that. Paintbrush never drew correctly. |

XCOM 2 War of the Chosen is AMAZING. I'm playing the shitty PS4 version which performs atrociously and it's still an unending thrill ride. I would recommend n00bs play vanilla XCOM 2 first and then WotC; the additions are so numerous that it might be overwhelming. It's a near-sequel, similar to how different Civ 5 ended up being with the expansions added. You might be fine if you've played XCOM 1. The non-stop suspense and thrills is problematic for an addiction-prone piece of shit like me. The lulls in the action (the strategic stuff on the home base) are so far and few between I end up utterly drained and mindfucked. It's best played in 1-2 hour chunks; I played in 4-7 hour chunks and felt like garbage. |

Started Titanfall 2, would have gotten the first but no campaign killed it off for me. I am very impressed so far, it feels just like the best era of COD with the Modern Warfare series, not the Black Ops garbage. I am fully aware that its from the same team from MW but immediately the controls and the mechanics feel familiar. I just dont know why Treyarch's efforts could never get that right. |

The first Titanfall was far more enjoyable than the online of recent COD games, plus them adding a horde type mode made it better. That one also had far better controls and mechanics, it is what COD should be. |
