lol, contact my dick m8y.

So after that solo win last night I played some more with friends and got 2 more squad wins, 3 in a night ain't bad, especially after the dry spell I've had recently. The last one was a really good match. My friend took us to a great spot that was right in the middle of the circle for the rest of the game; it's a small hill that kinda has its peak hollowed out, so it's a decent vantage point and cover all rolled into one. It was a very clean game, we won with the squad intact, as we just killed people as they ran in from the circle to our spot. I recorded the last few minutes of the match.

I've neglected to mention how satisfying and rewarding getting kills can be in this game, due to the way looting works. Sometimes you'll be really hungry for supplies and you'll take a guy out that has everything you need in abundance, putting you back into the running in a big way.

I expect the game will sell well when it comes to XB1.

I'm not convinced of that but we will see, I mean it might do OK for initial sales with all the momentum and limelight it has right now (assuming they don't botch the release), but I have big doubts it'll entrench itself as a big game on XB1 like it has on PC.

Uncharted 2 is a step above the 1st, but it's just huge set piece after huge set piece, CoD style, and wears thin towards the end. Dialogue is fun. Combat is better. Looks stunning. Developer sucks at visual cues because there were several times where I'd run about for ages trying to figure out where to climb. I'm honestly just eager to get the 4th game, which seems so different from a directorial perspective (as of 2, it's still a lighthearted action flick). But the 3rd is next...

Not really. Before you fight the main boss (it's obvious) make sure you haven't missed out on two fairly well-hidden areas, one which includes the hardest boss in the game. Edit: Game continues after final boss until you activate NG+ so nevermind.

It's worth pumping some souls into the vitality stat to boost defense significantly.

Oh, great! I hated that about DS1. In that case I'll probably play the game as naturally as I can and then after finishing I'll look up what I missed and go back for them.

And yeah I read up on what the stats actually do (and will probably refer to it again). I more or less played 1 and 2 blind, it worked out OK I seem to be competent enough at these games to not do anything really stupid, but I'd like to have a better idea of what's going on for this one for a little bit of min maxing. I almost certainly sunk some souls where it would've been better elsewhere. In both DS 1 and 2 I used a halberd in combination with a big fuck off shield, and just boosted whatever stats it was that I needed to not be really slow or do fatrolls... That worked pretty well for me both times. I liked the reach and fairly high damage, even if it wasn't quite as nimble as other weapons, and being able to block almost any melee attack. Won't be surprised if I end going something like that again out of tradition and familiarity but I'm open to trying something new this time.

You are generally much nimbler in DS3 than DS1, so a dexterity build gives you plenty of opportunity to roll around enemies and sneak in quick shots unscathed. The downside is that you'll have more trouble breaking their poise early on, so enemies you could just hack to death head-on with a strength build require more tact and patience. Personally I have more fun with dexterity but just smashing shit with hammers and axes is appealing too.

You find a covenant someway into the game that lets you completely relevel 5 times in a playthrough.

That's a great feature, don't punish the player for experimenting.

My first mimic had a bloodstain of a person being eaten right in front of it.

Yoshi's Woolly World or Captain Toad?
Late to the party.

Both games have similarities but are also quite different, Wooly World is a platformer with puzzle elements when trying to achieve all the unlocks, while Captain Toad is a puzzle game with platform elements. Both are stupidly cute and fun to play, probably the better two titles on Wii U.

Glad you picked them both up.

Recently played through Rise of the Tomb Raider. I liked it.

Noticed you were playing same time as me. Have you completed it already?

Im finally at the end now but I have invested plenty of time on completing all challenges, acquiring all pickups and unlocking all the upgrades.

I have found due to this that the game is a little more frustrating than the older Tomb Raider because finding them all can be tedious where you have to use the campfires to get to certain areas of the maps because its not accessible after what transpires from the campaign.

I thought the older Tomb Raider also has a better campaign with more interesting story. I am still enjoying Rise though, I think where it shines more is the use of weapons and upgrades like the acquiring the hook and the arrows to get around the environment.
