No, I thought the stealth was genuinely involving, perhaps because it was so much harder to pull off than in your other examples. It felt like a real accomplishment when I jumped off a balcony and stabbed that Templar in the neck without raising alarms. Sadly, there was no way to avoid the chases/fights afterwards, but getting there was like solving a satisfying puzzle. I honestly didn't mind the cut scenes, and the sense of place seemed more authentic than in ac2. I disagree that it was executed poorly. Of course it could have been better, but I was satisfied with what I got at the time. It's the only AC where I felt like an actual assassin. I always thought it was unfairly maligned. Black Flag had much more stealth than AC2, but a lot of it was kind of inelegant and poorly thought out. Oh, also, the Desmond scenes actually felt like they mattered in AC1. It was the only time in the series I was actually intrigued. Edited by Sir Goodfellow, Apr 9 2017, 02:10 AM.

Even though it's essentially a nostalgia trip, I'm kinda excited to play Yooka-Laylee. I'm currently playing The Nonary Games. Replaying 999, it's not as good as I remember. The complex plot is cool if you don't stop to think about how easily Zero's plan could fall apart at any moment. It's also got some cringey sexism and is super anime. Virtue's Last Reward is better at some things -- it's much better at exposition and has much better puzzles -- but the plot just isn't as fun. |

Played Humanity Divided recently. I liked it, all things considered (particularly the $16.50 I got it for). Didn't think its alleged flaws were quite as severe as people were saying, but it definitely felt less complete than HR despite being more refined in a number of ways. I certainly wouldn't call it a half game as much as blatant sequel bait for a follow up that now might take many years or possibly never happen at all, which is frustrating to say the least. At least it was enjoyable to play throughout, I quite liked Prague. It's definitely the most dynamic hub city we've seen in the series, and it's the most graphically impressive for it's respective time a Deus Ex has ever been. I was, however, a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see any Aug Lives Matter material, I was curious to see what people got so triggered about. Either I just happened to miss it or it was patched out? I wonder what ultimately made it sell so poorly? I doubt the augmented pre-order shenanigans did them any favours. |

lol conflate much? It's actually half a game, from what I read. I'd agree they were going for sequel bait, but it's cheaply done, as if they just cut the plot with a knife and put the first half in there. Going into that last fight I did not peg Marchenko as the main villain (he's more like Walton Simons) and was stunned when the credits rolled. I liked the racism analogy a whole lot, especially the early scene at the train station and the way you're treated in Prague (the police constantly asking for your papers is a nice touch). I wasn't as taken in by the apartheid because it simply isn't believable that full-blown apartheid is in effect just two years after Human Revolution, even factoring in the Incident. I did like going on the natural train and upsetting that racist blonde person who's always on the train. I'd attribute the poor sales to the large amount of big franchise titles that came out later last year. For people not in the know, Deus Ex didn't stand out. It also apparently had quite a few problems on release, particularly on PC. |

I did read about that Aug Lives Matter thing. It was a promotional thing that misfired because it looked stupid out of context. |

Ayyyyy, huehue. As far as plot is concerned it's absolutely cut in half, but I suppose I wouldn't call it a half game on account of I got over 30 hours out of it and it seemed full featured otherwise. I know some complained about only one hub city but that District Six: Clank Edition that you go to is a small hub world on its own, and Prague is more detailed and varied than anything we've had before. Heaps of little nooks and crannies to get into. I also found the apartheid thing a little implausible. lol about the lady on the train, I didn't realise that you were actually supposed to go in the aug carriage until I got pulled up at the station two or three times, that was a nice little touch of detail. Yeah I think you're right that released the game at too competitive of a time, and additionally it having a reputation of having an unsatisfying ending. I have no idea what the game was like at launch but I encountered a couple of annoying bugs. The first time I fought Marchenko the game bugged out and didn't recognise it so I had to replay the last 30 minutes or so. Not too big of a deal since I knew exactly what I was doing so I did it in about half the time and Spoiler: click to toggle .

I would've got the no-kills achievement if I hadn't knocked a guy out and placed him in water before activating a fuckin' breaker that electrocuted him to death. I still played it with no-kills in mind after that... It's just more fun. I had a bug on the PS4 version: the dead girl in the underground drug club mission didn't show up, the room was just empty. Luckily I looked up a walkthrough and was able to trigger the next part of the mission anyway. Also, the last area is the best part of the game. Taking out those guys, weaving in and out of the party, was a blast. Great final boss too. I felt like I got really creative with it. At one point I blocked that upper room's door with crates just to hide in there and dick with him. Edited by Moo, Apr 10 2017, 11:08 PM.

Yeah I did think the last section of the game was good but I think my personal favourite parts were breaking into Palisade, which I quite enjoyed my time figuring out, as well as sneaking around Prague in the rain during the lock down. Both of these were pretty strong, stealth orientated portions that I enjoyed very much. |

I explored Palisade by myself and liked it, but if you're referring to the optional mission I went with breaking into the cult, which was also good. |

Was referring to both, I went for the bank for the optional mission but I did check out the cult later and it does look like it would have been pretty interesting. |

I checked my playtime on The Witcher 3, and it's only 32 hours. Feels longer than that. I just completed The Play's the Thing, which was pleasantly silly. There was a riot in the end. I also did the Triss side mission 'A Matter of Life and Death' (the one at the masquerade ball), which was nicely meaty after a string of ho hum side quests just recently. I even got a few new gwent cards in it. I guess the next Triss mission will lead to a sex scene.

Yooka-Laylee is a delight. The criticisms are valid, but insofar that it's the first real Rare game in ages, I don't care that much. The humour is top notch, the music is amazing, the gameplay is a pleasure even though it's definitely got issues (eg. some challenges are unintentionally harder because the camera is so stupid). Worth a spin if you liked Banjo. |

Picked up Kings Quest remake on a sale recently when the price was right and its a damn good game. Right up there with Life Is Strange as far as adventure games go. Decisions matter and alter the storyline just like Life Is Strange. Edited by Biceps Ben Six Pack Smooth, Apr 12 2017, 09:20 AM.

Fired up Uncharted 4 again as well to replay the campaign but on a more difficult level and had no idea about the newish survival mode that was added few months back. Bit like Gears Horde mode but luckily it plays without a paid subscription, well you get a bot playing as a second character. 3 players with online is tempting just to get PS+. Pretty excited about the new standalone content that has just been announced as well, though the price is a bit steep. |

It seems like it will be pretty lengthy though, more like a short campaign than DLC. Plus more Uncharted is always a good thing in my mind. |
