AC III Liberation is so fucking broken! If the minigames aren't working properly it's putting me in unwinnable siutuations. E.g. I have to wear the slave outfit to complete a mission but I'm wearing the lady outfit and there are no change rooms within the mission area! Or I get detected in a mission which causes it to fail. It then respawns me in the middle of some guards meaning Irepeatedly fail and have to restart the entire sequence. Just recently I started a story quest. It automatically put me into the Lady persona which had a high profile. I have to mingle with guests at a party however most are standing near guards so I get killed whilst the story part is play. So fucking annoying and stupid. The gameplay's not bad but the issues with the game are far from what I expect from Ubisoft! |

I got Rayman Legends around Christmas and didn't really play it that much, I never got what all the praise was about. Started playing it again today and got up to the first rhythm level. I get it now! Awesome game and I'm annoyed it's taken me this long to get into it. Thief has become a bit of a slog. Started off really liking it but so much of the freedom is missing that was present in earlier Thief games. There's this massive hub world but you can barely go anywhere in it. I wanna be able to jump from rooftop to rooftop, put rope arrows anywhere I want, make my own paths instead of choosing between the 3 options the devs give me! Bought South Park too, great game so far. I don't really get all the complaints about the combat to me. I've found the difficult and complexity pretty much perfect. |

I started playing Remember Me. The combat is a bit frustrating: it feels like the camera is too close, and I spend half the time fiddling with the camera to try and keep enemies in view (and still end up getting hit unexpectedly). The game world looks really nice, but is more static than I'd like and the way the game funnels you along by closing off doors behind you makes exploration a pain. You see two exits from an area: one will probably be a dead end with some collectable/power up, while the other progresses the mission. If you go through the second one, most of the time you'll have given up the opportunity to check the first. The story is somewhat interesting though, and the first memory altering mini-game I played was somewhat interesting. |

I've started Tomb Raider after the many hours of downloading, fuck I hate my internet connection. It feels very Uncharted like to me. From the dodgy gunplay to the same sort of platforming, I am an Uncharted fan so its not a bad thing. When I started the game it feels like it holds your hand too much. |

I've been playing Tomb Raider on the PS4, and it's shaping up to be a very enjoyable game. I'm probably about half-way through. I'm genuinely enjoying exploring every corner for collectibles—although, the novelty of playing such a great looking game may have something to do with it (I haven't built a gaming PC since 2007, so I'm coming straight from the PS3). I'm not really qualified to have an opinion, but I've actually found the combat to be quite satisfying. Headshots seem very easy—I'm not sure if it's because the combat itself is easy, or if it's because of the DualShock 4 improvements. |

No unfortunately. It's the PS3 version. We get Dead Nation for free this month on PS4. Which may I add is a great couch co-op game. |

The bow to use is smooth as silk but then I found the handgun to be clunky to aim. Probably me just been shit. I also think I've got a fucked Triangle button because I kept missing some of the QTE's. I haven't been exploring that much to be honest because well basically until the point I'm at now I hadn't even paused it to see the objectives and then realised each area has it's own objectives. I'm hoping I can revisit areas on the games completion. |

You can revisit areas at any point by using the fast travel at camp fires. |

Whether I can be fucked or not is the other question. The whole camp thing and fast travel, hunting and bow use reminds me of Far Cry 3 This game should be called 'Lara Croft:Not A Far Cry from Uncharted'. Edited by bayloski, Mar 9 2014, 10:14 PM.

Yeah, trying to hit rats with the pistol is a good way to use up all of your ammo. Maybe the enemy movements are just slow and predictable. In any case, I've found the gun-play very satisfying so far. ![]() The triangle button is one of the few fully functional buttons left on my PS3 controllers; due to my kids playing with food on their hands, and my flawed attempts to pull them apart for a clean. The PS4 version pans horizontally and vertically nice and fast, but diagonal panning is really slow... does the PS3 version do the same thing? |

I thought that the point of her clunky aiming was the fact that she wasn't a skilled shooter. Or maybe that's just an excuse for the game. |

I've been playing: SPEC OPS: THE LINE AND IT BROKE ONE OF MY VIDEOGAME DESIGN CRIMES OF GIVING ME A MOUNTED GUN TO USE THAT'S LOCKED TOWARDS THE DIRECTION OF WHERE I RAN FROM; WITH ENEMIES COMING FROM BEHIND THE SAID MOUNTED GUN. I also finished it too, kinda have alot to say about it (mostly bad and some good) Edited by Red Panda, Mar 10 2014, 08:13 AM.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is back on my play card. Kinda mixed feelings about it. The presentation is amazing but the game itself feels pretty lacklustre. The size of the story doesn't amtch the world and there are inconsistencies between Serah's dialogue and the cutscenes relating. For example; when you meet Snow he and Noel go head to head a little and she acts all nice and lovey dovey towards Snow. Then, in her recap of the scene to Lightning, she complains about how Snow makes her so mad. There's also the bit with hope and travelling back to a changed past. You do a 20 minute dungeon, go to a new area, complete another 20 minute dungeon then go back to the first but the story (told by Serah talking to Lightning again) makes out like you've been battling for years! Really disjointed. I also think it's kinda lazy when they can't tell the story properly via cutscenes so they inject a dialgoue of Serah talking to Lightning (in her own head) explaining what's going on. Still the battles are pretty good. Personally I prefer a little more control over what I do. The Crystarium seems dumbed down too with you just picking which profession you wish to level... I dunno. I wanna like this game so much but they've dumbed it down to the point I just pick RAV-RAV-SAB, flick to RAV-RAV-MED when needed and COM-COM-COM when an emnemy is staggered. Battles just devolve into a rinse and repeat of mashing X whilst changing paradigms. Boss fights are a little more interesting but end up being the same. Even my first Caius fight was a cinch once I figured out I needed to use a SAB to poison him and counter his regen. Final Fantasy needs to get itself back into the combat depth of a game like Bravely Default IMO. |

One thing I found weird in the recent Tomb Raider game was the way you could recover exploding arrows from the corpses of enemies you killed, with their explosive tips intact. It seemed pretty ridiculous to stalk a deer and shoot it with the arrow, see it fly up into the air, and finally go and retrieve the explosive so you could start all over again. |
