Was Knight Artorias an optional fight? I just watched a video of it and and I don't remember him at all.

Artorias is definitely the best fight of the series, the only other fights that come close are Manus, Father Gascoigne and maybe the Tower Knight. The trend in the latest games (BB and DS3) of having bosses with very different phases is frustrating me. There's something incredibly satisfying about fighting one boss from beginning to end. When they completely change halfway through it feels kind of cheap.

I like it, but I wish they hadn't done it in nearly every boss fight so that the novelty didn't wear off. It does make you fear what's going to happen as you shave at a boss' health though.

Where are you up to in DS3?

Just defeated the Abyss Watcher's and I'm making my way through the Catacombs. I can only play during the weekends so I'm slowly chipping away at it.

I almost, almost thought Bed of Chaos wasn't as disgustingly bad as I remembered it until I reached the third phase. It's the absolute low point of the series. Those fucking hands. It actually killed me with firestorm one time as I was landing into the arena, and another time when I was in the goddamn branches rolling towards Izalith with full health. Dark Souls 3 has a similarly dumb gimmick fight that's a bitch to get back to if you die, but at least in its case you will only die if you're stupid. Bed of Chaos is chaos.

Stray Demon is awful too. It has a move with a damage radius that's practically inescapable. You've just got to pray it doesn't use it. Capra Demon's shit, Firesage Demon's shit, Ceaseless Discharge is also shit but because it's broken rather than hard (you can just stay in the crevice and pick away at its arm; I've done this every time and don't even know what the fight's supposed to be like, honestly).

The best are Artorias, Manus, Kalameet, S&O, Moonlight Butterfly and Sif.

Also I fucked up the dark ending. I assumed if Darkstalker Kaathe takes you down to the Firelink Altar then you'll get the dark ending, so I linked the flame instead of walking outside. There goes the achievement. I also fucked up Siegmeyer's quest by helping him defeat the monsters in the swamp. Finally, why do people say Gwyn is easy? No he's not! I was nearly decked out in full Havel and had a Black Knight Halberd maxed out and that wasn't an easy fight.

My face when I beat Gwyn first try and was downright shocked that the game was over because I expected an actual difficult fight to come after.

Anybody looking into getting Overwatch? My cousin has the game already and he gave me a code for the beta. I think it just gives early access to it and it's open to everyone in a couple of days.

I've played it for a few hours all up and it's pretty fun. It's sort of an FPS MOBA, and as someone who has tried to get into MOBAs but just can't keep going with them, this is more up my alley.

I think it's still a few weeks away from release. I'm interested to see how it turns out. I hope it continues to have a large player base because if it does, then I'll buy it. I just don't want it to go the way of Evolve.

I like all the trailers I've watched and the game itself doesn't look too bad, but I'm just not into online gaming. A single player campaign would have been nice, but the game is what it is.

Life is Strange, to those who have played it and completed it.

I started episode 1 last night and I have this dreaded feeling that I am doing too much without advancing through the game quickly enough. In that I mean I am spending too long looking at every damn thing I can find and speaking to every person and picking all the conversation points.

Im enjoying it dont get me wrong but I dont want to linger for too long if it has no real bearing on the final outcome. I always fear with these games where they offer the choices to alter the gameplay that it usually falls flat at the end and ultimately makes little difference.

Should I just progress quicker and not get too caught up in the choices?

There's no need to hurry, in fact it's better in some cases to make sure you analyse things more closely so that you remember them down the line. I don't believe there's any time-crucial things you have to do, except when there's a countdown obviously.

I got the most out of the game by exploring all those conversation options. While you won't find all contribute to the final outcome, many of the character interactions will spill into later episodes. For me, this is what made the game special.

I have no issues investing my time into conversations if its worthwhile and from what you guys have mentioned it seems the case. Even the brief moments I have played, I have enjoyed those conversations and can see the value in it so far.

Was just concerned the content afterwards would dismiss my prior actions and get no reward from it.

I completed Remember Me yesterday as well and was shocked that its the actual same developer behind both games. Remember Me strengths in my opinion was the environment and story plus the memory remixing. And can see some of the similarities between both games despite them being different genres.
