Fair enough. I will say, the new edition does add enough content to make it worthwhile, so if you get to the end of this and enjoy it, then it might be worth it.

I never knew that the super turbo championship edition had new levels and stuff until now. I assumed it was just character skins and such.

Might have to look into it during the next sale. Wouldn't mind playing through it again.

Yeah, there's a whole new section which is simply hilarious and great to play through.

I disagree that there's enough content to warrant an immediate second playthrough. I played it again a year or two after finishing the first and it was worthwhile but, tbh, I would have been just as happy replaying the first. If you're looking for a first play or want to replay the game then go for the STCE versions, otherwise I reckon just stick with what you have.

Either way you're playing gaming perfection right there :)

I wouldn't say an immediate second playthrough, no, but down the line, yes.

I am surprised you guys with have a XB1 didn't download the game when it was free (it is the super turbo championship edition). They also released a character pack DLC afterwards.

Dont you need xbox live gold for the monthly free games? If so that is why. Pretty sure Sony also did it through playstation plus.

Same. I'm not paying a yearly subscription fee for a console I rarely use :)

Yeah, Sony did it with PSPlus as well.

Random question: can you buy games off the XBox store without having XBox live? I'm tempted to get Ori and the Blind Forest on my 360 but haven't used it in a while and therefore my subscription is long lapsed.

It's not on 360, I checked a few weeks ago. You can definitely buy games without a subscription.

Just checked: it will be out on 360 but there's no release date.

Great. I thought it was released at the same time as XBone, but odd to announce it and not release it. I have it on PC just haven't gotten around to it on there yet.

You have a decent laptop now. Play it on there dude! Lol. If you're worried about the screen just use your Xbox controller and plug it into your TV with a HDMI cable

I bought it on Steam Sale thanks to Red Panda's suggestion, cost me only $12US. I'm guessing the game costs about $25 on Xbox one. Im going to do exactly what you suggested, play the game on my laptop and use xbox one controller, this is how I am playing all my smaller PC titles including guacamelee and the Telltale games etc. I use my desktop for the bigger titles with the controller, currently Wolfenstein.

Regarding the console subscriptions for so called free games, well its not really free when you pay for monthly services. Im sure I paid less than $5 for Guacamelee a few years a go, seeing that it was $2 in recent sale. Its so much more economical to actually pay for these games rather than spend hundred dollars per year for console subscriptions.

I really think guys like Jingles and Ninty should reconsider their options and save some money and likely get a superior technical version with customisation settings like graphics settings. My laptop is not a gaming machine and has no gpu and it does the job perfectly fine for the smaller games, its perfect for portable gaming such as downtime at work and as you said if I wanted a larger screen use a HDMI cable to monitor or even the lounge room TV.

Oh I will... I'm just lazy is all. Plus, I've been playing a few other games on it before getting to that.

I have no problem paying $70 a year for PSPlus - does what I need it to do and gets me access to multiplayer which is fine. Unfortunately, not paying $70 for PSPlus does not equal a new laptop to play games.

I have a bunch of other things I'm saving up for before even thinking about saving up for a new laptop/gaming PC. Not that it's not on the horizon, but eventually I'll get a Steam box instead of a gaming PC.
