To me it felt so anti-climactic. Maybe I was expecting more. I'm not sure. It just felt so... meh? But, then again, the final boss fights of the previous two games weren't exactly mind blowing. Hard to top the Mr Freeze fight from Arkham City. |

I haven't played Arkham Knight yet, but aren't crappy boss battles the traditional way for them to finish off these games? When people talk about what they loved most about the first game, how many do you think pick the Joker boss battle from the end? |

I liked it from the get-go, but what I really liked was how around the halfway point it shifts gears from lighthearted action-comedy by revealing a Tarantino style story structure. The switch of perspective during the trade-off made for good storytelling, and the unreliable narration produced some nice jokes. Hopefully there's more of that. I'll play episode two tonight. |

I started on Freedom Wars the other day just to see what all the fuss was about. Not bad. I can see it's easy to plow a lot of hours into though. With that said, I've decided to put it aside and play Bastion which is now finally available on Vita. |

Bastion is a cool game, it starts off a little slow from memory but stick with it. I haven't been playing Fallout 3 lately. I've been a little busy and also just haven't been playing much of anything. I've been seeing some people saying they modded Fallout 4 to get rid of encumbrance. I realised that maybe that's what has stopped me from playing so much, because it's just kind of annoying. I never use mods as I prefer to play a game in the way the devs intended, but I spend so much time fast travelling back to Megaton and sorting all my stuff and selling it. It's a whole lot of busy-work really and the weight limit is too low. I spent a couple of hours yesterday playing RE4. Damn that game is good. Still a great, creepy atmosphere and the action is so very satisfying. Had less trouble with the lake monster and El Gigante than I did a few years ago on the Wii. Especially El Gigante. I remember that being incredibly stressful the first time I did it, but the pattern was pretty straight forward for me now. Edited by Twisted, Dec 8 2015, 02:07 PM.

Oh yeah, I love Bastion. Played it on 360, then started it on PS4 recently but will move to Vita. Just a great game all round. |

LOL @ playing a Bethesda game without mods. Who cares about developers vision. Make the most out of the game you bought and take advantage of the content delivered by a dedicated mod community. |

I love in RE4 how Saddler kidnaps Leon, infects him with the parasite while he's passed out, then has him transported to a remote cabin before sending villagers to kill him. |

Good point Panda, will mod it. Fuck encumbrance, I thought I could put up with it but it's too time-consuming to bother with.' Pretty dickish thing for Saddler to do but thinking about it the game's logic is overall pretty weird. They infected Ashley and want to send her back to the US infected so they can control the president. So I think they sort of want Leon to catch her and bring her back? Maybe? But then IIRC they keep trying to take Ashley back. Otherwise the game would be over now as I just rescued her. I don't really understand what their intentions are at all. Not sure if it's supposed to be cryptic at this point or if it's just illogical. I guess I'll find out when I finally finish it. Edited by Twisted, Dec 8 2015, 03:50 PM.

I think the question for most people in regards to encumberance is: How bad of a hoarder are you? |

I think my strength level might be 5 or 6. I know that my weight limit is 210. But for the time it takes to upgrade the strength stat compared to how much shit I'm finding and picking up, it doesn't seem worth it. And the max is 250. Not a huge difference. I am also a massive hoarder. I pick up pretty much anything worth ~5 or more caps. I also pick up most weapons and armour I find, along with food and drinks. |

I used a mod called portable camp or something. Let me setup a camp anywhere in the wasteland and dump all my stuff in a chest. Not sure how the chest was being carried around but I just assume I had one of those Brahmin things. Actually that would be a good mod - a companion Brahmin that just followed you around and would store stuff. I suppose that could be a bit weird in some of those enclosed spaces though.![]() I actually didn't hoard much in the Fallout 3s. Fallout 4 is a different kettle of fish however as the "ingredients" for crafting mean that there's a lot more stuff to be carried. E.g. I wasn't finding much to use nuclear waste on so I ditched some (as it had a weight of 4 or something). Then I needed some to add sights to a gun and... of course, I couldn't find any. |
