If it bothers you so much, can't you hide it from your public trophy list? That way it would only by your private shame.

Yeah, you can always do that. It actually doesn't bother me that much. What bothers me is that I'm up to level 15 out of... 191? and I have a feeling I'm going to keep going for a while. :(

Gotcha. If you get a platinum, then it can't possibly be shameful.

Nah, no platinum for it. Just bronze and a couple of gold and silver. Having a brief look shows you have to play a looot of it to get far and in fact it seems to encourage a lot of in game spending on it. Really tempted to write a review on it even though it's a shovel ware game.

I didn't give Grow Home a fair shake in the 15 minutes I tried it, but I thought the character moved around very slowly and awkwardly. I didn't care for it.

I exchanged Far Cry 4 (which I never played) for Tropical Freeze. It feels like a DKC/Rayman Origins hybrid. I love the levels where enemies and things in the background move in time with the music, while the music itself is sublime, with a lot of excellent remixes of older tracks. I'm stunned by how hard the time attack challenges are. Even the first level requires ridiculously good execution.

^ That's the whole point of B.U.D. It's very childlike, which is supported by the wonder that the game provides. I'm in love with it. When you collect enough crystals you unlock the ability to use your jetpack which makes things really entertaining. Once you start growing the plant, you really unlock what the game is capable of.

I would go so far as saying that B.U.D. is almost polio like in nature with its top heavy body and spindly legs and the way it climbs with its legs just dangling there.

Man... now I really wish I was playing it again.

I was able to quickly adapt to the controls of Grow Home, but that may be my Octodad skills shining through. Anyway, I've "grown" all the way to the top and flicked the switch. The game was a good distraction, but now it's time to wake Big Boss from his coma.

I've been playing mainly mobile games this past week - predominantly Card Wars, Deathwatch, Lara Croft GO and Hitman GO. The GO games are surprisingly good! Lara Croft feels a lot more fluid and has hidden items for you to find whereas Hitman feels much more like a pegboard strategy game with a Hitman overlay. Both involve simple moving along a preset series of paths - choosing directions and avoiding/destroying obstacles where able. In Hitman the obstacles are bad guys - If they're facing you and exactly one move away then you're dead, if you move onto their square when they're not looking at you you can take them out. Works really well and adds a fun puzzle element. Lara Croft is the same but with monsters. It's all turn based so you have time to plan your strategy.

Downside with Lara Croft is that the levels all feel so damn simple! I've been playing for a couple of hours and it looks like I'm nearly done!

The only downside with Hitman GO is that the level challenges often require replays. There's no way to grab the briefcase AND complete the level in 14 turns or under for example

Yeah, the simplicity and how short it is aspect was my biggest let down with Lara Croft Go. Otherwise, it's really good.

You should try Hitman GO then - it has a more complex series of slutions and the additional cards, while they don't earn anything like a tomb raider and giant bear cosutme, do make for additional challenge

Definitely on my 'to play on phone list'. It looks really damn good and am more keen to throw out $7 for a game that's got greater replay value than Lara Croft Go. I know that price shouldn't really matter all that much (I've paid $25 for games that last two hours before) but for a mobile game... I don't know... $7 for such a short experience feels too much? $5 feels right. I don't know. I don't buy mobile games that often, and when I do I tend to get them with the Humble Bundle android bundle.

Tropical Freeze is...fine. It's good. The problem is that it's basically DKC Returns Plus but is not quite as good as Returns, or at least I certainly enjoyed Returns more. That said, it has my favourite soundtrack of any game ever. It's composed by David Wise, who did the music for the original DKC games, and sounds like a proven master at the unexpected higher height of his craft. If I could recommend one track it'd be Seashore War.

Dafuq am I still getting random BSOD during gaming sessions.

GPU is running stock and it can be bumped up a fair bit and my CPU is running a mild OC, I can push it much higher.

Eh? They're sheep, but with faces.
Yeah but the word "meeple" is more commonly associated with small wooden people used in board games... thus the splinters comment if you were to "fuck them"
