So I've been persisting with Hotline Miami and it's a damn satisfying game. I can see myself actually finishing it. I'd compare it to Super Meat Boy, but the difficulty is mitigated to be more "reasonably frustrating" as opposed to "headbutting my controller and eating my keyboard" frustrating. And it's got more depth in gameplay and story, which makes it feel more complete.

Hotline Miami is only $3.91 each on PS3 and Vita (with PS+ discount), but I still can't bring myself to buy it because I know it will just sit at the top of a very large pile of games that I'll never finish. How does it compare, difficulty-wise, to Guacamelee!?

You can't really compare Hotline Miami to Guacamelee. That's like trying to compare Forza Motorsport with Titanfall.

Buy it. You simply won't regret it for that price. I'd go so far as putting both Guacamelee and Hotline Miami into my top ten games. Hotline Miami is difficult at times, but it's always rewarding. As mentioned, it's comparable to Super Meat Boy, but I'd also say it's comparable to Spelunky. Both in the sense that you will die a lot - I mean, a lot - but you'll also learn new strategies as to how to play it. If you have a Vita it's probably one of THE must have Vita games (alongside Tearaway, Rayman Origins and Guacamelee!).

Even with a big shame pile, at that price it's an insta-buy really. And if you play your Vita a lot, it's good quick plays make it worthwhile. Fuck it, whats your paypal, I'll send you $5 to buy it for you.

I appreciate your generosity, but I might see if I can get a better offer---can anyone beat $5? :P

But seriously, I can't ignore your enthusiasm! I'm purchasing the Vita version as we type. :D

I just completed the second episode of The Wolf Among Us. It's looking like it'll be another fantastic series from Telltale. However, that last episode was a little too short for my liking. I'm pretty sure I completed it in under an hour.

Bonus! Looks like Hotline Miami is cross-buy---no mention of it on the product page. In fact, it explicitly states that it's "Compatible with PlayStation Vita only".

After getting to level 12 in The Old Republic, I've uninstalled it. No matter how much I try to think it is, it's not KOTOR 3 and has the general sense of being long, slow, boring and drawn out that MMORPG's have, as well as the other numerous flaws. It's just not for me.

I really hope, one day, they make an MMORPG that doesn't feel the need to have those slow, uninteresting, repeated quests. Guild Wars 2 came close but still devolved into map completion

Is anybody else playing Hearthstone? I've been playing it and I'm really enjoying it so far. Anybody want to match up?

I've been meaning to check it out—I've had the website link on my favourites bar for a few days. I'll download it now and see if I can figure it out.

Speaking of card games, does anyone here play physical card games or board games? Maybe I should start a thread…

R2 all the time and Square to spin. That's about it. It's all about timing and making sure you're jumping at the right time and spinning at the right time. Rhythm is the name.
