Played a bunch of Battlefield 4 today. It's funny how BF4 was more stable in January but I've had quite a few crashes during "Player Appreciation Month".

Also started playing Outlast last night. Yeah, going to need a new pair of undies each time I play.
I spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to decide if I was ready to start playing Outlast. I eventually booted it up, and chickened out before getting through the front gate! Might have to play this one with a friend while the sun is still out...
LOL
I think thats why I didn't like Dead Space and to a point why I never finished Bioshock. I got sick of shit jumping out at me. The older I get the wimpier I get.

I decided to fire up Jac and Daxter The Precursor Legacy as it was one of few games that are on my PS+ account thats actually already downloaded. I never played it back in the day so it's all new to me. Seems funny enough and a your standard platforming fare.

Yeah, Outlast is fairly heavy on the jump out at you moments. And the music and atmosphere are great too. Glad it's short.

Just about to fire up the first Command & Conquer game and relive some of the old goodness... hope it's as good as my memory tells me it was. Dune 2 and Dark Reign lived up to expectations. As did Warcraft 2 and 3.

I was quite the C&C Tiberian Sun fan back in the day. I found they are one of those games that you play online and realise that your skills really don't hold up against most of the players on there.

See, if you had a vita you wouldn't have that problem.

Do you have any handheld consoles?

He has a 3DS. He could also have played Scrabble, Scattegories, Cranium, Charades, Monopoly, The Game of Life, Cluedo, Connect 4, Upwords, Trionimoes, Uno, Snap or even hide the sausage.

You certainly know a lot of the board games he owns.

I would love to play the Battlestar Galactica or Bioshock board games. But I don't have enough people to play board games with.

I was just playing Outlast (I really like how a Plus subscription gives you decent, new games for free). Had the lights off and headphones on. It's pretty scary and the initial jump scare got me good, but I'm a much bigger fan of psychological/surreal horror than this stuff. The atmosphere has me on edge. I'm not very far in but I feel if it's just jump scares and spooky violins I'm gonna just get annoyed and bored eventually. I winced at the phrasing "vanishingly unlikely" and the protagonist's description of the corporation's outlook: "fuck the third world and bankroll another billion". Anyway it's free and kinda cool and definitely spooky. I don't think I've played first person horror before this.

Been playing quite a bit of Rhtyhm Thief and loving it soooo much! It's like a Professor Layton game where they replaced the puzzles with mini rhythm games. Mini games use the stylus, gyro, buttons, all sorts of things. Aside from the mini games you play pretty much like a Layton title. You walk around, talking with people and watching anime cutscenes.

This should give you an idea of the rhythm type games in it. Fun, fun, FUN

No. I tried to play the demo on Steam but my computer can't handle it. Outlast is similar though. I played it some more last night and it's still pretty sweet! There's a surprising amount of diversity among the inmates' behaviour. I've come across two separate dudes whacking off with different animations and dialogue.

I started a new game of Mass Effect a couple of days ago, and my only prerequisite in my character creation was that Shepard had to have access to the "charge" ability after transferring my character to Mass Effect 2. It turns out only the Vanguard can use the charge ability, which leads me to wonder how many people have missed out on the best biotic power in the series! Having said that, I'm attempting the series on the highest difficulty this time, so I'm guessing I will not be able to mash that charge button this time around...

Has anyone here played through the series as a Vanguard?
