I really want to play Talos but you just know it's gonna be $4 later in the year.

It's $20 right now and more than worth it :) Although, that said, I'm not sure how you'd like the philosophical story in it

It's totally worth! It's quite long for a puzzle game, at least compared to Portal, Braid or The Swapper. I think it's about the length of Portal 2's single player campagin.

I'm actually encouraging you guys to get this game sooner rather than later because the thought of you all struggling at a few puzzles in particular will probably be more amusing than the strugge you all had with that Swapper puzzle.

Just killed my first neighbours by stealing their food. I actually feel really bad about it too. Damn this game (This War of Mine)

They shouldn't have been playing that music so loud.

Quick question for Panda.. or anyone else if they'd care to search it and aren't scared of spoilers). Should I be bothering with this star right now or is it something I'll revisit later with extra available equipment? I've found a few so far but never with the right color laser. Thought maybe I might get a color changing connector or something at some point. I guess I just want to ensure I'm leaving nothing behind right now.

This level's called "Something about a star" and it's thru the first door in area B.

Apparently, those stars can be done with the tools you have needed to complete the puzzle.

The stars are bonuses for an alternate ending, so I skipped them. Some of the solutions to get those stars seem weird, like as if im breaking the general structure of the game. (one star I got required me to hook up a high beam source from another puzzle chamber)

I gathered something like that might need ot be done as I'd noticed the positioning of the various levels seemed purposefully close.

After spending some time trying to figure them out I think I'll just leave them for an added bonus challenge, if I want it, at the end.

So clever. Wrote the message "test" with my recording and then read the message as the real me :D Love this stuff :D :D

To cl;arify - there are paintbuckets scattered around the game. You can use them on walls to leave one of about 5 preset messages. Similar to Dark Souls these messages then appear as readable codes by anyone on your friends list who's playing the game. There's a mechanic where you can record your movements and then play them back. Allowing, for example, for you to do coop levels without another player.

When grabbing the paint bucket as the person being recorded I had a different set of text to put up. I chose the word "test" and then, when watching the recording played back, went and read my message (as I figured it would disappear after the recording ended). Instead of just reading back what I wrote like it normally does it read as pictured below.

Didn't like this one much. I don't think I solved it correctly and, instead, found a glitchy way to do it :(

I'm really annoyed that I got screwed by the US dollar, but I'm impressed so far.

I've done the first 3 areas. Nothing too challenging yet, but it's fun and I'm enjoying the atmosphere and even don't mind the computer logs. I like how it explores big ideas through historical references and literature. Paradise Lost quotes! The Swapper just talked about consciousness in a flat, aesthetically disconnected way. I haven't read everything in Talos, but I like browsing.

I hope there are more puzzles than the original 7 areas because I'm kinda tearing through them. That snowy area is really cool. The only thing I don't like is the star locations not being revealed on the signs. I get why, but it's lame looking for them because you have to re-do parts of puzzles just to check if they're around.

There are numerous areas with at least seven sections each. The star locations can't really be revealed on signs as, in some cases, they're not in one of the dedicated "challenge areas"

I'm currently playing "Pre-load all 59GB of GTA V". It's a slow paced game for us non-NBN peasants.
Fuck_Giver.exe has stopped working!
Does it matter how I write the truth?
