I'm getting a bit fed up with Bravely Default. I'm used to JRPGs re-using old ground to stretch out gameplay but this game is making me repeat entire dungeons and storylines with slightly modified bosses at the end. Just about to start my fourth runthru in a row of all the game's dungeons. I get where they're going, story wise, but the mechanics are making the game tiresome and annoying. Just got the last job asterix too and I can't be arsed levelling it up. Really just want this to end. Ok maybe not end, I just want the level/boss recycling to end and for them to progress the story without it

Ah gotcha. I gave up searching after a while as I lost most of my money when dying so could never save enough to be of use :)
I only played on Medium and I did die but only at certain bits e.g zeppellin bit. I did try and spend coin on upgrades though.
Some of the upgrades for stuff cost more than Hitlers gas bill though.
Some of the weapons were useless though like the Heater.

I was excited to play episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us but there's a glitch on Xbox Live where people with a season pass can't download it. How idiotic. This isn't the first stupid glitch I've had with Live and Telltale Games (TWD originally had a glitch where you would try to play episode 3 and the game would instead play episode 1 and overwrite your save file, meaning that once the glitch was fixed I had to replay the first 2 episodes).

I had similar issues with the Walking Dead. Punished me (on PC) for buying the full set at launch it felt like

I checked this morning and Microsoft messaged my account with a redeem code for episode two.

I'm planning on trying to finish dead space 3. This will be my third attempt to try and finish it. Everytime I play it I end up getting disappointed and quitting so hopefully I can push that aside and get to the end :)

It was in my top five games for last year. Not that that means anything.

You either didn't play the other two or you don't mind it when a game sells out it's core values :p

I played the other two - I'd put Dead Space 2 as one of my top 5 games, but I didn't mind the sell out. I didn't purchase in game items, just crafted and explored. Loved it. Disappointed that there probably won't be any more Dead Space games though. That is, until they reboot it.

You could always play the spinoff games although they're very different in nature. The rail shooter light gun one was surprisingly awesome though!

I'm really getting into Puppeteer. Definitely a case of style over gameplay but I'm ok with that and am happy to go aloing for the ride

I've played through both of the downloadable games - the stupid pipe mini-game one and the light gun one - on the PS3. I tried to play through Dead Space on the iPad but I couldn't get into it. The only other thing I haven't played is the DLC which I may do for Dead Space 3.

I need to get around to playing The Puppeteer. Don't know which game to get into next.

I started on God of War Ascension today to begin the long stretch of playing through the God of War series. For a game that's coming after the great God of War III, I'm amazed how average it begins.

Also started playing Outlast last night. Yeah, going to need a new pair of undies each time I play.

I spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to decide if I was ready to start playing Outlast. I eventually booted it up, and chickened out before getting through the front gate! Might have to play this one with a friend while the sun is still out...

While playing, remember to upgrade the amulet and stone to their max (they aren't particularly expensive), and practice using their powers along with your parries and dodges. You can get through most of the game without them until you hit one particularly difficult fight. With the game's auto-save feature, you can't easily go back and try upgrading a different set of powers.
